Returned from a trip to Glasgow, where I had a chance to present my ongoing work on a computationally efficient approach for estimating players' pass-receiving availability during WCSS2025. Great to see some familiar faces, meet new ones and exchange ideas with academics and practitioners!

I believe we had similar cases in the past, and it worked out. So as long as you're willing to relocate, you're welcome to apply.

I kinda settled on WCSS (June, Glasgow) and ECML with MLSA workshop (September, Porto - my second year in a row). Still considering MathSport International (June, Luxembourg) and Statsbomb's conference too. Still curious to hear thoughts on the last two or other recommendations!

To all Soccer Analytics folks out here: I'm currently looking for some training options and networking opportunities. What sports analytics and/or ML conferences are in your calendars for 2025? It seems some regular options dropped this year - what alternatives do you have your eyes on?
