Johnson has told GOPers to plan for an all day meeting about reconciliation on Saturday, Jan. 4. The only thing less fun than spending your whole Saturday thinking about reconciliation (trust me, I've done it) is spending your whole Saturday having the second day of a Speakership fight, I'd think.

Hello to everyone else whose ears perked up during this speech when Kildee referenced getting to speak to John Lewis often in Lewis's final weeks because Kildee held Lewis's proxy for floor voting during COVID and needed to find out how Lewis wanted him to vote. (Oh, I was the only one?)
