kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 9hI really don't understand these contracts. Federal law requires competitive bidding. Is there anything lawful occurring in the federal government these days? 000
kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 07/10/2026By the way, what would they "take out LA" with? You've obliterated their nuclear program, destroyed their air force, navy, and economy. Or perhaps you haven't? I'm confused. Besides, the White House is 1200 miles closer. 030
kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 07/10/2026What's the penalty for an attempted coup? As commander in chief, it should be a military penalty. 000
kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Russian defectors have said they have an ongoing program. Some of the described creations are truly insidious, although the main problem is targeting. It can boomerang. 010

kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 06/10/2026I believe these are the kind of programs that DOGE cut for Africa. Outside of the blatant inhumanity of what they did to children in Africa, those idiots seem to think viruses don't travel with people. Musk is a genius? Hahaha. Not a chance. 040
kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 06/10/2026I think many are quietly working behind the scenes. At least, that's my hope. It'll be a rocky election, that's for sure. 010
kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Somehow, I suspect that the broken vial story is bogus. I've worked in a BSL 3 facility and glass, as well as metal sharps are banned. It would be quite reckless, even if allowed. They would also know exactly what antibiotics to use if an accidental exposure occurred. Antibiotics didn't work? Why? 120
kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 06/10/2026That shouldn't be his only regret, the coward. 000
kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Yes, they need to announce it now. It's coming. 110
kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Trump doesn't give a s--t about anything... except his bank accounts. I've never seen anyone like this. 010
kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 06/10/2026We don't need representatives who are ruled by fear. 010
kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Agreed. Global warming is more accurate, and since water absorbs 5 times more heat energy than land, measuring the temperature of the oceans is the easiest way to measure global warming. It sure looks like it's warming. 021
kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 06/10/2026My understanding of history is that the moment after the 1972 Biological Weapons Convention was signed, Brezhnev ordered the Soviet Union to start building research facilities to develop new biological and chemical weapons. If I had to guess, the US probably did the same. 110
kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 06/10/2026There's no need to even do that. It'll just disappear in a week. 000
kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 06/10/2026That's a likely scenario. October is the beginning of flu season in the northern hemisphere. I just need to reign in my natural paranoia when it comes to mankind tinkering with dangerous organisms. Unfortunately, it's way too easy to manipulate DNA these days. 120
kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Yeah, me too. That didn't end well for at least 15 million people, and Covid had a 1% case fatality rate. Pneumonic plague has a 100% case fatality if untreated, and 15% with treatment. This definitely isn't something to screw around with. Oh my, and brain worm is in charge! 010
kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Especially since 4,000 CDC personnel have been pushed out by Trump. The outbreak detection personnel have been reduced by almost 70%. I'm almost thinking it was intentionally done. This would obviously be rather nefarious, but hey, par for course with these folks. 021
kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 06/10/2026One follow-up. It does stick out that the lab worker is reported to have died of pneumonia in 3 days after hospitalization. That is unusual for your ordinary pneumonia, but it is consistent with pneumonic plague. One would also think that antibiotics based on her work would be readily available. Hmm 110
kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 06/10/2026The geopolitical nightmare that exists now is infuriating. These days, PCR machines are standard lab equipment and they should know if someone is infected with Y. Pestis within an hour. It makes me wonder what's happening. 010
kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 06/10/2026The name of the institute is the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Research Institute of Siberia and the Far East and they are authorized to work with Russian pathogen groups I & II, the most dangerous. kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 06/10/2026 Beautiful. It reminds me of the Veiled Virgin (La Vergine Velata) by the Italian sculptor Giovanni Strazza. 020

kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Yes. Drop the senatorial courtesy. Salvaging the democracy has to be the top priority. 020
kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Yea! Every state needs to pass similar laws. Enough of this. 010
kstrand.bsky.social @kstrand.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Will we ever find out? That's the problem these days. 110
