𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Are we talking about the transform Gizmo? I'm on 5.2.2 and It's sensitive enough that I don't have to even have the cursor on the Axis Arrow for it to highlight it. I took a look but I couldn't find any options for any kind of click zone or sensitivity. :/ 010
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 28/09/2026'Nids were my first faction and basically my gateway into the hobby so it's just gotta be them. And with 40k referencing other media so much, you could totally retell a few of those other stories as fanfiction. Absorb them into the collective like a good bug does. 010

𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 23/09/2026My gut reaction would be that it could be viewed as unprofessional in a formal interview environment, but it's not a feeling that holds up to a lot of scrutiny. I'd probably have my own water on hand in a bag or coat pocket, and if they offered me a drink I would politely carry that with me. 020
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 22/09/2026.. Do you sell hardcopies of the book? I've not seen that available anywhere. 000
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Beg pardon, what I mean is: The design you've got is great, and looks believably manufacturable. But if you were designing to the limitation that there's no wood, would you change it at all to maintain that believability? Or would you suspend disbelieve and render the same shape in stone/metal? 130
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Do you think the design would need any further adapting if it didn't have a wooden frame? It looks like the designers were briefed to not have *any* wooden elements in the kits. 100
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Gotta hand it to GW though, it's good to see that they're continuing their efforts to diversify the representation in their model ranges. I'm not the biggest fan of some of their policies, but at least that's doing better. 020
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 19/09/2026I think, in a vacuum, the new Gholem is kinda fun. The second option to have them depict a Godess instead is a nice touch. But yeh, the discourse about the design in the wider setting is pretty valid and there's definitely some more interesting things you could have done with the concept. 110
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 19/09/2026The fancy big reveal is the Duardin. They're.. fine. I'm not as familiar with Fantasy/Sigmar though. The standing characters like Hjulda and Thrynn look fun, I'm less fussed about the foot troops though. The artillery is good, but the loader should probably be wearing shoes 100
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 19/09/2026I'm excited for another episode of Astartes! I am not excited for it to be a Warhammer+ exclusive though. I'm really not a fan of how GW has handled fan content, and taking a thing that was fan made and viewable to everyone and locking it behind a paywall is lame and unethical. 100
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Custodes have some fitting additions to their range of very nicely detailed kits. I'm not very wow'd by the Terminators though. They look like they aimed for a regal stance and just ended up with some stiff looking poses. Could have done with some more commanding gestures. 100
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Oh, okay. Some new GW minis have revealed, let's chat! The new Legion of the Damned are great. It's a good use of the killteam format to give this faction some attention. It feels like it highlights how redundant the primaris redesign was. Should have just rescaled the old astartes designs. 110
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 17/09/2026You're a Blender user, dive into the sculpting mode and design your own 😄 010
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Yeh.. I know what you're saying. Just trying to bring a bit of levity back into the thread 😅 010
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 15/09/2026Noo.. I'm kinda joking really. But Iron Golems definitely aren't taking vocal commands and Snow Golems are more akin to an elemental (those lads definitely aren't listening to anyone) 😉 000
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 15/09/2026I have some bad news about the Minecraft Golems then 😅 200
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Also the Elves have that haunted armour set so it's not exclusive to Nagash's lot to have spirits and such. 030
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Expanding on this; You've done an interesting thing by not overpainting the weapon; Having it be the corporeal anchor for the ghost is a great idea. Some manner of Grudgebound Apparition that is bound through runes and inscriptions on the armament would be neat. 361
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Makeship have a system where they help you design the plush, then run a crowdsourcing campaign to find enough sales to justify the production run. It's basically zero risk and is a safe and easy way to offer merchandise to your community. We've considered doing it for the CreateMod a few times. 🤔 011
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Which platform would that have been posted on in 2016? 120
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Some tasks like 3D print or producing technical drawings have some hard requirements or accepted standards. It's possible to do courses and get qualifications in these but you can generally pick it up as you go. 130
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Loop tools is essential for me for anything to do with modeling clean topology. There isn't really one "methodology" when it comes to CAD though, so recommending an addon is hard. The stuff I would do for laser work is different to how I would model for 3D print. 120
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 10/09/2026I saw on your other thread that you were looking for some help with CAD and Blender, I tried sending a DM about it but I never know if that works on this platform with the UK safety laws. That being said, I've got some decent experience with both. DMs are open if you need a hand 👍 100
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 10/09/2026In lieu of better ways to measure, you could put the curved end on a piece of paper and then trace along the edge with a sharp pencil. Assuming the length of the curve is mostway accurate to the piece itself, you could connect the two ends with a line and measure the height of the curve from there. 100
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 08/09/2026What's stumping me is the edge collapse in the bottom left. Other than a bit of errant mesh decimation, I've got no idea how someone would arrive at that when the surrounding area has a reasonable and matching set of quads. 🤔 101
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 07/09/2026From what I gather, one of the "reasons" is because a lot of the contractual financing is dependent on them achieving AGI. The whole investment bubble is pivoting on them being able to deliver that product. It's not a great reason, but it's certainly an incentive. 010
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 02/09/2026I suspect part of the problem is because swords have functionally been the same for so long. It's easy to put a rapier next to an older sword and strike the difference off simply as a cultural variant in the same rough timezone. Not quite as easy to do that with firearms. They feel too modern. 120
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 31/08/2026Primaris with Jump packs always look so awkwardly posed, which is a shame because there's been some amazing artwork for assault marines in the past. The extra vents/fins on the legs and backpack look kinda lame too. 010
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 27/08/2026This thing? These aren't the final textures, but it shows off how the animation carried the effect. I stopped asking twitter for opinions after posting this model 😅 161
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 25/08/2026.. wait.. now that you mention it.. Why *do* they have an Antler Motif? Is there a symbolism there that I'm missing? 110
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 22/08/2026You can't just tell us you bought a cool new bat miniature and then NOT show us the cool new bat miniature... 120

𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 19/08/2026Yeh, I dig it. So you're looking for a character design over a product concept. The only suitable design I have on hand would be this: cara.app/post/485f460... I could provide the 3D file for reference. If your version ended up game ready we could chuck it into Godot and have it wander around. 😄 010
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 18/08/2026Is there a specific skill you're trying to practice, or just something general? 110
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 16/08/2026... Very Big Lad. I believe the hapless Skaven here is by Punga Miniatures. 061
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 16/08/2026Thought I'd re-render out the Bounding Maw, my Colossal Squig kit that I made a while back; He's a big lad. #Blender #Warhammer 0205
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 16/08/2026This is the kind of "middle of the night, low brightness" screenshot that people post on our discord when asking for technical help. 010
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 15/08/2026I'd grab a set of stickers and enamel pins for sure, but I'd still like to be able to buy a full set of your designs on tshirts. 010
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 09/08/2026You simply cannot install an IK system on your models without making them do the little IK Dance afterwards. 0120
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 05/08/2026I do still like some of the simpler designs like Annika, mostly because they provide a really nice starting point for conversions. I could totally see a cool House Delaque character coming out of that kit. 040
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 31/07/2026It's an Inverse Kinematics (IK) system. Each leg has a point in space where it knows the end should be and a bit of math tells the leg joints what angle they should be to reach it. Each leg also has a target in space ahead of it, and when the distance gets too far it animates to that next spot. 010
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 31/07/2026righto, 👍 I just wasn't sure if the model would remain as interesting when the textures weren't doing as much heavy lifting. 😅 110
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 31/07/2026I'm seeing a lot of likes for the walking tank from the tabletop mini crowd. Funnily, the model was original designed for print, do I need to offer up some STL files for this thing? 🤔 35511
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 30/07/2026The damn thing is about 4 metres tall so you'll probably need to order in a special screwdriver for it. 100
𝕂𝕣𝕪𝕡𝕡𝕖𝕣𝕤 @kryppers.bsky.social · 30/07/2026The stick inputs at the bottom indicate which controls I'm inputting which is handling the overall motion. The legs are animated procedurally with Godot's new IK solvers. 👍 010
