KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Listening to In Session with the two legends Albert King and Stevie Ray Vaughan. King talks to SRV and tells him to work hard "You're already pretty good, but you're gonna be better" and how he's going to be praying and watching. I had to pause. He was right, but by God, I wish we'd had more time. 010
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 17/09/2026So I’ve been generally enjoying the main story in Final Fantasy XIV, but the 4.1 Stormblood stuff has been just sticking in my craw extra hard and I’m actively unhappy with the last several major story beats. Like…fuck me this is ham handed and just outright unpleasant to get through. 000
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 16/09/2026For some reason it feels like that would be her exact reaction. Tries it. Looks in the mirror. Says out loud “I look too much like Piper Zenless” 010
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 14/09/2026I passed Checkride. Tonight we celebrate with conveyor belt sushi. 230
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 11/09/2026Disc is Mignonne by Taeko Onuki, if you were wondering. Real good album, highly recommended. 001
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 11/09/2026Ask me again in about a month. Also, we should do lunch around that time as well. 100
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 11/09/2026Distracting myself today by messing around with oddball audio formats. 100
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Still unhappy I couldn’t get the ravenous special edition but otherwise feeling a lot better today. Maybe I’ll play more Prime Origins later. 000
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Buddy, she’ll eat the rich so hard she’ll come down with gout. 000
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 09/09/2026I can no longer report eBay sellers for selling preorders because they changed their policy to allow selling preorders and I don’t know what else I expected. Okay now actually getting off the internet before I explode. 000
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 09/09/2026I’m getting off social media for a while. I’m just making myself angry and frustrated. 000
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 09/09/2026I cannot remember the last time I was actually able to get a Nintendo special edition anything and Metroid is one of the few series I actually care about so to say I am seething this morning is accurate. 000
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 09/09/2026Had the Ravenous special edition in my cart and Nintendo decided this was a great time to force me to email authenticate. Sold out in the interim. Same thing has happened with every Metroid game in the last ten years I’ve tried to get a special edition for. Which is every one that’s had one. 100
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 09/09/2026…I guess I need to consider getting a Switch 2 after all 000

KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 07/09/2026When I first came here I thought being outside of the rust belt would mean my car would be in better shape and have fewer threats. You buffoon. You absolute fool. This city apparently exists purely to destroy my car and every time I try to fix one thing, two damages happen. 000
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 07/09/2026Played House Flipper 2 for the first time today. How does it feel less polished than the first game? I actually had to go and double check that it wasn't still in early access it feels so clunky and backward. 000
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 06/09/2026I hate how much my anxiety spikes before Checkride when I know I’m completely ready and able to crush it. Guess I just have to prove that “performs well under pressure” on my CV isn’t a lie, eh? 010
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 01/09/2026I don't know what's wrong with my brain tonight. I was listening to music and Mario Galaxy/Galaxy 2 came up and I've been having to struggle to not just break down crying at the orchestral themes. Like...this is joyous mirthful music that evokes the spirit of childlike wonder. Why soggy eyes? 010
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 01/09/2026It’s kind of late. Do I want to stream fusion practice anyway? 000
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 31/08/2026Finished off a bottle of tullamore dew and filled with introspection with nobody around because time zones hate me. What’s up? 000
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 30/08/2026Today I was thinking about the Shantae series and how the gaping void in my heart left by Pirate’s Curse could be fixed by making a Risky Boots prequel game that answers the story questions PC raised and also gives us more pirate items attack and movement gameplay. @wayforward.bsky.social please? 010
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 27/08/2026Starting today I’ve been getting ads on YouTube for a certain ayy eye product that rhymes with baud and I have never in my life been so BLINDINGLY ANGRY at a series of advertisements. I’m no longer in software engineering and I still abhor them and their snake oil with every atom of my being. 010
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 27/08/2026So I ran through about 7 splits in Fusion. It’s segmented practice, sure, but comparing RTA to my old IGT PB, I’m already saving somewhere in the neighborhood of three minutes through Varia. That’s significant. Now to see how much more time there is to find in the later run. 000
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 27/08/2026Its funny because IREM did the opposite and made the Arrowhead very iconic from the side and I’m pretty sure nobody even knows what it looks like from the top or bottom. 010
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 27/08/2026Fusion segments until the thing I have later tonight happens. Or until I get tired of doing segments. Whichever comes first. www.twitch.tv/krunchylex 010
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 21/08/2026So after sleeping on it, I think my final thoughts on the controller are I like everything about it except the dpad. It gives you accidental diagonals way too easily. Everything else is quite good. Do wish I could use my rechargeable AAs in it instead of having to charge it with the cable, though. 000
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 21/08/2026I hope you didn’t think I was joking. I haven’t played these games in a while. But it sure is Metroid. www.twitch.tv/krunchylex 000
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 20/08/2026Feeling better today. Need to get some stuff done first, but we doing the aforementioned Metroiding in 3-ish hours or so. Apologies to my east coast peeps, but time zones don’t make this easy. 100
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 20/08/2026My body apparently took this declaration personally. Am not feeling well today. Pushing it to Thursday. 🫠 000
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 19/08/2026Man, I barely remember the routes. Another time, maybe. I have a good chunk of spare time for the next month or so. This time I’ll just be stressing if I know it’s a race and I’m trying to avoid that. ^^; Hope you’ve been good, though. Been a hot minute. I feel like I owe you at least one hug. 110
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 19/08/2026You know what, sure. Tomorrow evening I’ll do it. Let’s see how much I remember or don’t remember about GBA metroid. We’ll try to do a ZM and Fusion any% run. Should let me test the controller and should be a giggle to boot. 320
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 18/08/2026Got a fancy new controller. What’s a good way to put a new controller through its paces? [looks at stack of Metroid cartridges] Hmm… 000
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 17/08/2026If your video game drops me directly into character creation or gameplay the first time I open it without giving me any way to go into settings, then I just want you to know that I hate you. 000
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 16/08/2026Flight training update: Training delays suck. But we still in it and moving forward. Still planning to offer to take speedfriends flying next time I go to GDQ. 010
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 16/08/2026For how much data I know Google collects on me, they sure do serve me up mostly YouTube ads about things I *absolutely loathe* and would never spend money on willingly. 000
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 12/08/2026You’re right. It isn’t good. It’s grrreat. Actually wait…why isn’t Jonathan a cartoon cereal mascot for children? 010
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 08/08/2026Apparently they made a Metroid Prime demake. Color me curious. Let’s find out together. www.twitch.tv/krunchylex 011
KrunchyLex @krunchylex.bsky.social · 31/07/2026So Razer is buying streamelements. Are there any other options in that specific space that haven’t been bought out or proven themselves to be scummy? 000
