This #Current26 talk uses very Confluent specific tooling (unsurprisingly) but if you want encryption at rest you can use the OSS @kroxylicious.io Kafka proxy kroxylicious.io/use-cases/#e... Kroxy has a pluggable architecture so record masking and other privacy features can be added in easily

We don't have rate-limiting out of the box, though we'd happily support someone contributing a filter. We work quite hard not to mess with protocol semantics to be as transparent to clients as possible so we have no effect on ordering. Not sure what you mean by overflow...
