Wish my two would do some fly hunting. I have some very annoying fruit flies buzzing around - ignored by the two lazy lumps in this house 😹

Are you sitting right where he wants to be? I get glared at in those circumstances…

I agree - I did the same earlier in the summer. Staggered back at the dry cleaner’s quote but the door curtain looks a lot better cleaned and pressed…

He looks as though he might have some, minor, ragrets?

Cat law of physics “cats expand to fill the available space”. See also, sofas.

Aw, not the outcome you (or we) were hoping for but you did the intros in the best way. I guess sometimes it doesn’t work out. And Mac will definitely find the right home for him - he was adorable (as is Calvin too of course!)

Sorry to hear about the migraine. Loved the old pics. Hope you are recovering ok.

Very happy it’s not so hot here in the south east of England. Figs can finally snooze in comfort!

A black and white tuxedo cat is upside down on a yellow armchair, snoozing, eyes closed with his paw stretched away from him. You can also see a small cushion with flowers on the fabric and the top of a cat scratching post sticking up above the arm of the armchair.

Sort of an eerie glow, didn’t really get dark at all here. Tried the colander method as we didn’t have eclipse glasses 😀

A photo of a shadow of an arm and colander showing projected through the holes lots of crescents of the eclipse

Didn’t get that dark, did it? I tried the colander method

A photo of the silhouette of a colander held up to project the eclipse. The shadow is falling on a piece of white paper sellotaped to a green window frame. The shadow of a person’s arm holding up the colander is also visible.

A cropped version of the first photo showing the eclipse as multiple crescents through the holes in the colander

At first glance I thought he was putting up the cat parkour wall…

Well at least this heatwave means we have a good chance of a clear sky for the Perseid meteor shower as well 💫

Have the same issue with random boxes of cables. Perhaps the weee charity would take them? www.weeecharity.com/index.php/wh...

Thought this might happen. Boundaries being firmly established… as they should be 😄

That kind of day is really satisfying! I did the same with my spare bedroom on the weekend - not perfect, tidied a lot, more to do but still good to do 😀

I get my shoe obsession from my mother as well - although she wouldn’t recognise this 🤣

They’re super, practical and a bargain - who could complain about that? (My OH calls me the Imelda Marcos of Buckinghamshire so I know the kind of comments coming your way. Ignore them!)

Scary but not that scary then which is great… I really am looking forward to them getting on and playing together. Although Mac seems to have kitten levels of energy!
