Astrid Rox @kristylouise.bsky.social · 14/10/2026Four years ago, this tree was knocked down by a tornado. We thought, what the heck, let's try lifting it back up and see what happens. We hoisted it up, refilled the hole with soil, and strapped it to a big oak nearby. It's done great. It's beautiful in the fall! 140 0
Astrid Rox @kristylouise.bsky.social · 13/10/2026I love October. I love looking out my windows and seeing bright red and orange trees. I love that it's been 20 years, and our anniversary is on Halloween. I love that I get to host a paranormal investigation on Saturday and see so many friends! And, I'm voting this week! 030 0
Astrid Rox @kristylouise.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Why don't we play "lights as a feather, stiff as a board" as adults. Weirdos, next time we get together? Did you know this game goes back to 1665? according to the book, The Diary of Samuel Pepys, which recorded his life between 1660 and 1669.static.klipy.comThe Craft Light Asa FeatherAlt: The Craft scene of Light As a Feather, stiff as a board 231 0
Astrid Rox @kristylouise.bsky.social · 28/09/2026It's Ursa's third birthday today! She's a foot stomping, head shaking, bossy little cuddle nug. When her picture came up browsing petfinder, I immediately started crying because I knew she was meant to be family. The next swipe was her mom, though we didn't know it. So happy to have found them both! 120 0
Astrid Rox @kristylouise.bsky.social · 22/09/2026This morning, a crow, I assume it was a crow, was cawing like a screaming goat. I was laughing. The dogs were not. 040 0
Astrid Rox @kristylouise.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Fun random fact, I just remembered today. I used to work in a position where I welded switches that contained mercury. My mercury levels got too high, so I was relieved of that position. So, when I can't remember anything, do I blame mercury, menopause or the TBI. Astrid Rox @kristylouise.bsky.social · 19/09/2026I used to listen to a lot of Coast to Coast and Darkness Radio. One time, I remember a psychic said we all chose our lifetimes before we were born. Lately, I've been like, really? But at the same time, yeah... I must've been really bored in my past lives. 140 0
Astrid Rox @kristylouise.bsky.social · 16/09/2026I'm guessing it's because it's 60 degrees out, but my flowers are all full of sleepy looking bumblebees. I kept telling them to head home because it's only getting cooler today. 030 0

Astrid Rox @kristylouise.bsky.social · 09/08/2026A sandhill crane is out talking nearby. It echoed so loudly, and I'm inside with the windows open. Both dogs jumped awake like, "What is that!?!" That's a first here. 020 0
Astrid Rox @kristylouise.bsky.social · 06/08/2026I was watering my raised marigold flower bed and heard the tiniest squeak, of "please stop!" I peeked inside and saw a little nest. I can't see what is living in there, but I'm guessing bunnies? They're safe in my garden, I guess. As long as my neighbors cats don't find them. 040 0

Astrid Rox @kristylouise.bsky.social · 19/07/2026In my late teens, into my twenties, I'd be alone in my apartment rocking out on my guitar to L7 while the guys all went to band practice. Astrid Rox @kristylouise.bsky.social · 07/07/2026We had a bit of a scare. Two people called us to tell us a large tornado was heading right for our house. Luckily, we were away. But watching the ring camera, it was the classic green cast and no wind, then the power cut out. We waited, then called friends and family. We got lucky. They lost trees.🧵 160 0
Astrid Rox @kristylouise.bsky.social · 28/06/2026I know the struggle is real, simply adulting... But working and volunteering at an organization without any recognition is exhausting. For 15 years, I feel I can't get respect from the "preservationists" because of my interest in the paranormal. And vice versa. I feel both are inherently connected. 060 0

Astrid Rox @kristylouise.bsky.social · 09/04/2026Listening to the fireside tonight, Minnesota has "spooklights". I grew up on the iron range. Hibbing is a mining town, it has a large open pit iron ore mine. In the late 90s, we used to park at the bocce court and look for the "lights" around the old North Hibbing cemeter. 😉 We tried debunking too. 170 0
