Does this mean that the lower tiers will get ads now?

Even though I usually try to keep as much as possible in separate modules, this seems like a great improvement. developer.apple.com/documentatio...
Xcode now supports a JSON-based project format (.xcproj) that's more readable, merge-friendly, and easier for coding agents to edit. Enable it in the file inspector. Projects using xcproj also open in earlier versions of Xcode 27.

A bit torn between these two. Right now I use the top one, but considering if it's worth aligning with Apple and going with something like the one in the bottom. I think I'm leaning towards keeping the current one, since Apple's style feels more destructive and less positive.

Yeah, with 120Hz I would at least be tempted to upgrade, but it looks like none of my Macs can drive the XDR at 120Hz, so it would require more upgrades 😃
Mac models with M1, M1 Pro, M1 Max,
M1 Ultra, M2, and M3 support Studio Display XDR at up to 60Hz. All other Studio Display XDR features are supported.

Pretty happy with the progress on my side projects this year so far. I’ve intentionally tried to get something done each day, no matter how small, which seems to work better for me, instead of trying to bite off large chunks whenever I feel like I have the time.

Cory Doctorow describes why I’m personally not interested in AI-generated art very well in his interview on Decoder. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/d...
”I don't like Al art, and the reason I don't like Al art is because I think art is the...
It starts with someone who has a big, irreducible, numinous, complex emotion, and they try to infuse it into some intermediary medium, like a sculpture, a dance,
or a book, or a song, or an image, in the hopes that it causes a facsimile of that emotion to materialize in someone else's mind when they experience it.
And AI doesn't have any of those things…”

Got inspired by one of @avanderlee.com's posts a while back and started labeling my issues based on effort and impact. I also set up a project that automatically pulls in low-effort tasks from my various repos. I’ve found this really useful for surfacing tasks I can pick up when I have limited time.

Xcode can now generate type-safe Swift symbols for manually-managed strings in String Catalogs. For example, a string in Localizable xcstrings with key "Landmarks" and value "%(count)lld landmarks" can be accessed via LocalizedStringResource. landmarks(count: 42). You can enable this via the build setting "Generate
String Catalog Symbols"
