Estrogen could have saved her.
Illustration of Huck Finn being helped into a long sleeved, mid-calf length, green dress with full skirts and a wide collar, by Jim. Jim wears a broad brimmed grey hat and blue shirt. Huck has short brown hair and a corn-cob pipe. Both are in a wooded area with the river in the back ground. The caption below reads "Jim hitched it behind, and it was a fair fit."

Image taken from The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, Illustrated by Donald McKay, Illustrated Junior Library Edition.Black and white illustration of Huck Finn, wearing a bonnet and wide collared long sleeved dress with full skirts. Huck is holding a skein of yarn, seated across from a squinting older woman, who is knitting drawing from the other end of the skein. A table with a candle is in the background.

Image taken from The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain, Illustrated by Donald McKay, Illustrated Junior Library Edition.Text from The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain.
Text reads:
Next morning I said it was getting slow and dull, and I wanted to get a stirring-up some way. I said I reckoned I would slip over the river nd find out what was going on. Jim liked that notion; but he said I must go in the dark and look sharp. Then he studied it over and said, couldn't I put on some of them old things and dress up like a girl? That was a good notion, too. So we shortened up one of the calico gowns, and I turned up my trouser legs to my knees and got into it. Jim hitched it behind with the hooks, and it was a fair fit. I put on the sunbonnet and tied it under my chin, and then for a body to look in and see my face was like looking down the joint of a stovepipe. Jim said nobody would know me, even in the daytime, hardly. I practiced around all day to get the hang of the things, and by and by I could do pretty well in them, only Jim said I didn't walk like a girl; and he said I must quit pulling up my gown to get at my britches pocket. I took notice, and done better.
I started up the Illinois shore in the canoe just after dark.
I started across to the town from a litte below the ferry landing, and the drift of the current fetched me in at the bottom of the town. I tied up and started along the bank. There was a light burning in a little shanty that hadn't been lived in for a long time, and I wondered who had took up quarters there. I slipped up and peeped in at the window. There was a woman about forty year old in there knitting by a candle that was on a pine table. I didn't know her face; she was a stranger, for you couldn't start a face in that town that I didn't know. Now this was lucky, because I was weakening; I was getting afraid I had come; people might know my voice and find me out. But if this woman had been in such a little town two days she could tell me all I wanted to know; so I knocked at the door, and made up my mind I wouldn't forget I was a girl.

This is a duplicate image of the comic panel from the skeet above with the image description continuing in this one's alt text, picking up from the middle of the page. Not pictured are later parts of the story in this & later issues, where the rest of the cast have positive reactions to Tong.
Image description part 2 from FF Vol 2 Issue 6 by Matt Fraction, Joe Quinones, Laura Allred, Clayton Cowles, (Tom Brevoort editor)

Mid page, second full page width horizontal panel is panel 4.

Panel 4 Tong's (four-fingered) hands are outstretched to either side of her head as she asks: "Are you still my brothers? Are you still my family?"

Panel 5 (lower left corner): Korr, belly height on Tong, hugs her closely while Tong raises her arms awkwardly to let him in. Korr says, "Love my Tong."

Panel 6 Turg smiles and presses his head to his bottle against Tong's smiling head with a "Tunk" sound, Korr continues to hug Tong, Mik does as well and is seen from the back. Tong says, "I love you too."

Panel 7 large circle in the lower right corner, close up on Tong's face, smiling broadly with both eyes tearing, she says "Oh, I love you all so very much."

I'm reading a bunch of Marvel back issues and found this wholesome, trans positive page from Matt Fraction, Joe Quinones, Laura Allread, and Clayton Cowles. The image description will be lengthy, so I'll need to spread it over a couple copies w/ alt text
Alt text Part 1:
Comic page with a caption on the right in white text on black background reading:

FF Vol 2 Issue 6
2013-04-24
Writer: Matt Fraction
Penciler: Joe Quinones
Inker: Joe Quinones
Colorist: Laura Allred
Letterer: Clayton Cowles
Editor: Tom Brevoort

At the Future Foundation, the Fantastic Four's school / think-tank for child geniuses, FF member Tong comes out as a trans girl to her brothers Mik, Korr, and Turg.

On the left of the image is the comic page itself.

The image features the Moloid children, Tong, Mik, Korr, and Turg. The Moloids are human-like, have pale yellow skin, large eyes obscured by their lids but for narrow horizontal slits, no hair, and pointy ears. Usually Mik (tallest), Tong, and Korr (shortest), wear white jumpsuits while Turg is a head in a floating glass jar.

Panel 1 top right: Large Circle, inset with Tong's head angled with top to 1 o'clock. Word bubbles include: "Brothers. I have this thing, and now you will have it as well. It will be ours, and we will find out what ownership of this thing means.

Panel 2 top left & center: reveals Tong standing on the right in front of a large screen with her brothers of to the lower left, seen from behind. Tong is wearing a long-sleeved loose pink top with a broad collar and small ribbon tie over her jumpsuit, as well as a pink, over the knee circle skirt with black lace trim. Tong's speech bubbles: "I have a girl inside of me. I tried to be a boy like you, but there is no boy here, and I do not wish to be what I am not any longer."

Panel 3 (next panel down) shows in the background left to right Mik (seated on a blue bench to the left) Korr (seated on the ground) and Turg (floating) watching attentively while we see the backs of Tong's calves and skirt trim as she continues: "This is unexpected? It is unexpected, and scary, and wonderful. It is *new*. Who I *am*... is new. My brothers! You have a sister.

More Marvel re-reads from decades past feeling relevant at the moment. Kitty Pryde making some observations while Lockheed lies across her lap recovering from an injury sustained the previous issue. - From Excalibur 11, 4/4/1989
Comic panel with text bubbles occupying the left side and on the right is Kitty Pryde, a teen girl with short wavy brown hair looking to right of panel with an upset expression. She is kneeling on the floor and wearing a pink bathrobe, and Lockheed, her purple dragon companion lies injured on his back across her lap. Her left side is angled towards the viewer and drops down across Lockheed's middle and holds a spoon, while her right arm, raised up to her neck level positions her hand in a claw-like partial grasp.

Kitty says: "I just LOVE the way everybody rolls over and trusts those creeps. I mean, they're NAZIS!
If they've got the means to transport themselves here...
...what's to stop them beaming over a conquering army...
...and picking up where our Hitler left off.""

Lockheed: "GROANNN!"

Look, the Shi'ar were shooting at Chris Summers' plane, it was going down, Katherine had just pushed the boys out, Scott and Alex were falling - A lot was happening! Sometimes you need to simplify things to figure out what's going on.
Dry erase marker on whiteboard drawing and words. All of the text, and most of the picture is in blue.

There's a picture slightly left of center of a circle with two rounded simple figures, almost gingerbread cookie shaped. The one on the left (representing Alex Summers) has his mouth in an "O" shape. The one on the right (representing Scott Summers) has a wide red beam extending from his eyes aimed downward and slightly to the right.

Text surrounding the drawing reads:

A = crosssectional area
* assume spherical Summers brothers
radius 0.5 m
=> A = pi r^2
A ~ 3.14 (0.5)^2
A ~ 0.78 m^2

Re-reading old X-books and 𝘗𝘭𝘶𝘴 ç𝘢 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦, 𝘱𝘭𝘶𝘴 𝘤'𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘭𝘢 𝘮ê𝘮𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦.⁣ How it feels when you're in a scapegoated minoritzed group as per Chris Claremont, Jackson Guice, et al. in New Mutants 48 from late 1986, cover date Feb 1987
Three panels from a comic, credited in white text on black in the lower third of the image detailed after panel descriptions:

Panel 1: Older Sam Guthrie of Earth 8270, a blond-haired white man with short hair and full beard stubble wearing goggles pushed to his forehead looks outside while Roberto DaCosta, a black haired teen with brown skin speaks from behind:
Roberto: How - why did everything go wrong?!
Sam: Beats me. Anything bad in the world... ...all of a sudden got blamed on mutants.

Panel 2: Sam continues speaking over art depicting a burning building in the back ground while protesters in the foreground carry signs reading "Muties go Home", "Muties are a Disease. Find a cure"
Sam: America's enemies had mutant spies an' saboteurs, so people said, wreckin' our economy an' our defenses. The drought of '86 was our fault, an' the winter of '90, and the Great Earthquake.

Panel 3: Sam continues to talk in the background, while older Dani Moonstar of Earth-8270 grimly stares out the fourth wall. She's colored all in red and black in shadow, wearing a Viking helmet with wings on either side, long hair in braids, and a broad cape, somehow supported horizontally to extend beyond her shoulders.

Sam: We were responsible for the decline of morality. We were a sign of God's displeasure - You name it, we took the rap. Be funny if it weren't so tragic.

girls will be like "I know a place" and then take you here
A painting comprising a portion of the Erol Otus cover of the Basic Set of the 1981 edition of Dungeons and Dragons by Tom Moldvay.

In a cave in pink/fuschia tones, a stair case descends from an arch right of center near the top of frame. At its base stands a tall blonde woman wearing a floor-length, sleeveless red dress and cloak, holding a lit torch in her right hand with her left arm raised holding a glowing green smokey orb. She prepares to throw it at a large green dragon occupying the entire left half of the frame, toothy mouth open, rising out of a large pool of water. Around the mage's waist is strapped a dagger and near her feet, an open chest full of jewels. In the center front of frame, a bearded, behelmed warrior crouches, a wooden shield on his right forearm interposed between himself and the dragon's maw. In his left arm, he readies a spear or javelin to strike the dragon's torso or lower neck.

_My_ early goth: From 1998 - 2002, an era when the only offline public spaces that I'd show up in Krista-mode was at the goth clubs & the like.
A three by two montage of pics of me in goth outfits, taken between 1998 and 2002. In all, I'm a pale white woman with blue eyes and brown hair.
Top Row Left: I have chin length hair, wear a black velvet choker, black crop top and back ankle length skirt - both with long fringe, the top has long narrow bell sleeves. My hand rests on my right hip, which is forward.

My hair is combed over, hanging behind the right side of my face dipping to collar bone length, I'm in a black long seeve top with tails, ruffled front, left hand resting on left hip, holding a dead black rose in my right hand, black velvet leggings, black patent platform high heels with three straps on the shaft.
Top Right. My hair is now breast length, I wear a sleeveless metallic blue pvc minidress with black crinoline underneath, a narrow blue collar with o-ring, black fishnets, & the same boots as the top center pic.
Bottom row - all from 2002, my hair is breast length in these.
Bottom left: I'm in a mid-calf length dress with full tiered skirt with a dark blue slip peeking out from below, long fishnet sleeves with over-long tassels (18 inches, dangling from the wrists. Also wearing a black choker.

The veil between the worlds grows thin... [Pic of proto-Krista from <cough> 27 years ago...]
A pic of me, a white woman with chin length brown hair wearing all black and with most of my face in shadow. The lighting is dim, dark yellow & features are difficult to make out. From my face, only the bridge of my nose and center of my forehead are visible. I wear a longsleeved black crop top with black fringe, and am leaning slightly forward so very little abdomen is visible. I wear a long black skirt and my hands are partly visible holding it out on either side at hip level.

Generally creepy vibes

Panel depicts people standing in Washington Square Park in NYC, 80 years in a dystopic future.

That canceled tv show you'll never stop thinking about
Amanita Caplan and Nomi Marks as portrayed by Freema Agyeman and Jamie Clayton in Sense8

Two women, side by side, lean slightly leftward in frame. Both look to the right of frame and have their mouths slightly open.

The woman on left, Aminita is of darker complexion with long tight braids, a few of which are dyed purple. She wears a plaid miniskirt and a green tanktop with vertical ribs.

The woman on the right is Nomi, and has long center parted light brown slightly wavey hair and pale skin. She wears glasses and a plaid button-down shirt with sleeves rolled up to just above the elbow. Only her right arm is visible, extending left and downward, hand on Aminita's right hip, lightly holding Amanita back from whatever is off camera right.

Amanita slightly behind and camera left of Nomi, holds her right (camera left) arm bent to place her right hand on Nomi's left shoulder and right forearm parallel and lying along Nomi's left upper arm.

They are in Nancy Drew investigating mode.

Two tall narrow comic panels on the left and a block of white text on black on the right.

Panel 1: Seen from above, Tony Stark puts on his Iron Man helmet while walking down a corridor, leading a muscular Peter Parker wearing a black t-shirt and chest harness.

Peter: But She-Hulk... Jennifer Walters... She's in Court, every day, defending these guys, making motions...

Tony: She can make all the Motions she wants. This is outside the jurisdiction of local and federal courts. This is an act of Congress, signed by the President. Only the Supreme Court can intervene, and I happen to know they won't.

Second Panel: Close up on Iron Man's face, still slightly from above, helmet now on.

Post your favorite Doctor Who. Wrong answers only. Take 2... er wait? was that the one before? This is The Doctor.. captain... something...
Captain Kangaroo stands with right arm down and left arm raised and bent, left hand facing camera, with a white ping pong ball held between middle and ring fingers.

He is a somewhat broad, middle aged man with greying blonde hair in a short, "bowl"/page boy cut. He wears a red sport jacket with white trim over a white shirt with a dark, probably black, tie.

A theremin you say? I _tried_ to align hand positions to notes, but haven't practiced enough for consistency. I had the kit for years, and only finished building it not quite 3 years ago.
A theremin - in a woodgrain rectangular prism of a box sits on a red topped kitchen counter with a various containers behind and to the left, along with a door with a diamond window up high, also left, and a tile wall behind center and right.

The theremin's pitch antenna extends vertically up on the right side, and the loop of the volume antenna extends from the left.

The center of the housing is black.
On its left under an audio jack is written "moog"

Rightward of that, in the housing are four dial controls, the labeling of which is illegible at this resolution.

A story which wraps up with this essential truth:
Two comic panels along with a caption.

The caption in black on white text in the middle & lower right reads:
Dr. Charlene McGowan with The Fast Five Crew and Elektra Natchios in DC Pride (sic) [actually it was Marvel Voices Pride] 2021 "Something New Every Day" By Lilah Sturges, Derek Charm, and Brittany Peer.

Top Panel:
Four figures in armor with helmets crouch with their wrists bound behind them. They are, left to right clad in violet, magenta, green, and red armor, while In red fabric with a hood with devil horns, a long black pony tail leans Elektra Natchios over the wrists of the green armored figure. The upper part of her face is all black with yellow eyes.

The brown hair, right eye and right half of Charlene McGowan, a white woman, occupies the right most part of the frame.

Redline, the crouching red figure says: Hey, my cousin is trans! Do you know her? She's @genderama!!!1989 on social?

Charlene: Trans people don't all know each other $@%hole.

Lower left panel, a close up of a smart phone in Charlene's right hand at a table with partially visible drinks and napkins.

The screen reads:

@Genderrama!!!1989

[Charlene's text bubble in white text on slate grey]: Hey, you never told me you had a cousin who was a SUPER VILLAIN.

Or spherical Summers brothers...
Screenshot of a Tweet by me: Text reads:
Krista Brynn @KristaBrynn Dec 10, 2020
For cross-sectional area we shall assume spherical Summers Brothers with a radius of 0.5 meters, which results in a cross-sectional area of 0.78 square meters.

See Figure 3.

13/25

Image of blue dry erase marker on a white board with text that reads:
A = crosssectional area
* assume spherical Summers brothers
Then there's a circle with two cartoonish figures drawn inside, one of whom (Cyclops) is shooting a red beam from his eyes, downward.
To the right of the drawing, the text continues:
radius 0.5 m
=> A = pi r^2
A = 3.14(0.5)^2
A = 0.78 m^2

I wish I had started earlier, but I wasn't able to. I started laser on my face at age 30, and didn't start medical transitioning until age 46. There is still Time
Image from the movie "I Saw The TV Glow" - a night time view of a street in a suburban neighborhood with chalk drawings filling the road. In large pink chalk lower case letters filling the street from the middle to the bottom of the screen are the words "there is still time."
A figure stands in the middle of the road just beyond the chalk drawings' end.

Or the light that took different paths can appear to have come from the same point such that when you look towards whatever is bending their path, it looks like the object - a virtual image. In the pictures here, it's lenses doing the bending of the light. 3/8
Two pictures of the principle rays from an object interacting with a converging lens. On the left, figure (a) "Converging lens Real image" the three rays travel in straight lines from the top of the arrow labeled "Object" until they encounter the lens. They then change directions and converge at a single point at the top of the upside down arrow labeled "image".

On the right on figure (b) Converging lens virtual image.
A smaller object, closer to the lens has three rays leaving it in straight lines, also changing direction once they encounter the lens. Dotted lines extend backwards from the paths on the side opposite the object, back on the same side as the object and beyond it until they converge at a single point, at the top of a larger arrrow, labeled "Image".

You can get images if that light that took different paths either winds up in the same place, in which case it could be projected onto a screen or digital camera's CCD or your retina - a real image. 2/8

Wait, what? PREPARE YOURSELF FOR THE ULTIMATE IN FANTASY GAMES
Picture of a CRT monitor displaying the opening screen from the early 80s computer RPG "Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord"
Screen shows at the top in orange the word "Wizardry" with a sword piercing the letters (point on the left, hilt to the right of the "y") To the lower right of the pommel are the letters "TM"
Below that is some manner of spirit arizing from a blue cauldron heated with white flames. The spirt has an orange chest and face, with white fanges, blue arms and fingers, some manner of white garment on their upper torso trailing into the vapor.
Below is a human, probably male, with wide, white baggy pants, a blue shirt, and a broad white hat. He faces the cauldron and plays a wind instrument.

Kurt does not believe in gravitational potential energy. [No-Prize?: His gravitational potential energy change goes into the energy required to open the portals at either end of his travels when there's a height change]
Panel from an early Claremont/Cockrum issue of Uncanny X-Men. Nightcrawler (aka Kurt) is in the foreground with pupil-less yellow eyes against dark blue skin, with pointy ears, a black collared, red shouldered unitard and three-fingered white glove. Storm is in the background with flowing white hair, a black headband/tiara, yellow collar and white cape. In speech bubbles we read:

Kurt: I can teleport, yes. But If I telleport from this height, the law of conservation of energy demands I materialize with the same velocity I started with...
Kurt: I will be killed regardless.

Storm: Do not worry, kurt. I can carry you and colossus easily.

I'm well distant from the paths of the storms, and wish all the good fortune to every one affected by them. Looking at earth.nullschool.net just now is foreboding even at this distance
Image from earth.nullschool.net showing wind patterns and speeds in shades of yellow and green, overlaid on a blue map of the North Atlantic with North America and the Northernmost portion of South America on the left, the British Isles and Europe southwest of the Alps in the upper right corner, and west Africa on the right edge.
Visible are several low pressure center concentrations of high speed winds surrounding tropical storms and hurricanes. One is immediately north of the Yucatan, one is north East of the Bahamas. One is in the mid Atlantic at the latitude of the Lesser Antilles, One is in the north mid-Atlantic at the latitudes of Spain and New England. One is off the coast of Western Europe. A small one is off the West coast of Mexico. Another low pressure storm system is above Hudson Bay.

Gnome! [Spotted in the Middlesex Fells Reservation yesterday]
A wooden gnome in the hollow of a tree.
Picture shows the hollowed lower trunk of a tree with rough bark on either side. A crack into the hollow runs from the top of the image off center to the left to the bottom of the image off center to the right. Within the hollow in the center of an image, mounted to the wall is a carved wooden gnome, with fair skin, white hair and full beard and moustache, blue tunic, broad black belt with gold buckle, red conical hat, brown breaches and black boots.

I did another 9 rounds before starting HRT in August 2019. 30 total rounds pre-HRT (well one of those was about a week into HRT). By that point I was down to shaving once or twice a week. This pic is from Sept. 2019, 2 months into HRT, just before starting electrolysis. 5/probably end.
Pic of lower half of face with pale skin and many stubbly bits of brown with some white hairs around upper lip, lower lip, and chin.

Then in 2010, my ex- pushed me to try to grow it out again just once, and I let it grow a couple months, as long as I could stand it. I think those 21 rounds had killed about 40%-60% of the hairs permanently. This is from December 2010 3/?
Low resolution picture of the lower half of a face, seen from its right side, with pale skin and a brown mustache and beard. The facial hair is scraggly and thinned out compared to the earlier pic in thread but still notable.

Reading old comics, including Claremont, Leonardi, et al.'s X-Men: True Friends (issue 2) and ran across this panel which makes the same mistake I was embarrassed to make in high school German class and transposed the i & e. Kitty and Logan are in for a bit of a mess. Explained more in alt text
Panel from the comic X-Men: True Friends issue 2, by Chris Claremont, Rick Leonardi, Williamson, Palmiotti, Blanchard, & Orzechowski.
Image shows two gunmen, (Nazis) on the left, one of them off-panel above, holding machine guns aimed below wooden docks to two figures on the right, below the docks in ankle deep water: Kitty Pryde and Wolverine. Wolverine kneels and protectively hugs Kitty.

1st Gunman: "Scheissen Kameraden!"
2nd Gunman: "<Open Fire!> <Kill them all!>"
The first Gunman's words literally mean "Shit comrades!" instead of the presumably intended order "Shoot comrades!"

The goth club I used to haunt two decades ago is having a kids event today and I've been invited by the parents of the Local Toddler to come with. 🎵From the cradle bars comes a beckoning voice. It sets you spinning. You have no choice.🎵
Me, a pale woman with long brown hair center parted, wearing an off the shoulder mini-dress with a blue on black pattern. I'm also wearing dark purple eye shadow and lipstick and am smiling. I'm wearing a black lace choker with a small black pendant and longer necklace with a large white-metal ankh pendant. In addition I'm wearing a double belted set of beltpouches matching the dress, black fishnet tights, and black knee-high, one inch platform Doc Martins boots. My right side is slightly forward with my right arm hanging down and wearing a tarnished silver bracelet. My left arm is bent, left fist on right hip, turned slightly behind.Me, a pale woman with long brown hair center parted, wearing an off the shoulder mini-dress with a blue on black pattern. Sure, this panel from X-Men Unlimited #36 by Jeff Jensen, John Totleben, and Jeromy Cox wasn't about chest binding in May, 2002... They had Angel strapping his wings down in the 60s, but accidental(?) subtext still can resonate.
Comic panel showing a shirtless teenager sitting on a bed in a dark room, shirtless, wearing blue jeans bent over his knees with large batwings. his left arm rests near the elbow of his apparently injured right wing. Three figures, presumably his bald and bearded father on the left, his shorter mother in the center, and the larger, blue-furred feline faced figure of "The Beast" Hank McCoy on he right. McCoy wears a long coat and a shirt with an "X" on it.
Text box 1: "Instead, I'm making a house call."
Text box 2: "Dan Strom is fifteen. The wings emerged eighteen months ago. His parents wanted to enroll him at Xavier's but, Dan wanted to remain in public school with his friends. He conceals his wings with a corset."
Text box 3: "Sometimes, he cinches it too tight. Sometimes, something breaks."
Under the panel in white text on black reads: "Panel from X-Men Unlimited Vol. 1 #36 'Stray'; Story: Jeff Jensen, Pencils & Ink: John Totleben, Colors: Jeromy Cox"

The local toddler has declared that I'm the person depicted in this painting. I'm not the bird. I asked.
Painting depicting a pale woman with long wavy brown hair seated on the right, extending her right hand out, palm up, holding some corn kernels, and a white bird, standing on the same palm bending down to eat the corn. The bird has a thing chain connected to its ankle which the woman hold in her left hand, pressed against her left breast. The woman is in a long dress with dark voluminous sleeves and a lighter colored bodice with a square cut collar. Her face is turned toward the bird so that we see her left side. Both woman and bird are indoors near a window above the bird to the left of the woman. On the window ledge is more corn and beyond the window is a pond and several tall trees.

I've been reading through a bunch of back issues of Ms. Marvel and Champions and I've gotten to @eveewing.bsky.social , Kim Jacinto, and Espen Grundetjern's "Outlawed" from March 18, 2020, and the teen heroes are in front of a Senate hearing & it's so much like all the anti-trans bill hearings.
A panel from the comic "Outlaws" credits written in black on a white panel on the left side reading:
Panel from Outlaws (March 2020)
Writer: Eve L. Ewing
Artist: Kim Jacinto
Color Artist: Espen Grundetjern
Letterer: VC's Clayton Cowles

Right side is a comic panel depicting a middle aged Senator, with brown hair and mustache, wearing glasses a suit and striped tie pointing at a paper showing the picture of a brain and some text.

His word bubbles read "...the adolescent brain, as you can see here. The prefrontal cortex is not fully developed until age 25. This affects impulse control, risk-taking behaviors..."
Other older men in suits sit in the far background while to the right of frame in the near background sis a woman wearing a suit and tie with glasses and collar-length hair with bangs.
In the foreground at the bottom is a table with a pen and paper and shadows of what are probably people's heads or shoulders.

The iteration right before that one, the 1981 Moldvay/Cook Basic/Expert sets, is the one I think of as simplest, though the Mentzer Red Box set is essentially the same ruleset.
The boxes for the 1981 Basic and Expert sets of Dungeons and Dragons.
Both, in yellow font have "TSR Dungeons & Dragons" on the top On the left and laying on top is a pink toned box 1, Basic Set in the upper right corner and features on the left side, a large green dragon emerging from water, confronted on the right by a woman holding a glowing green fire ball and a torch in a long red dress and below by a helmeted figure with a spear.
On the box on the right and below, in blue tones, labeled "2 Expert Set" shows on its right, a white bearded wizard in robes, hands upraised gazing upon a scene in his scrying smoke showing the same scene as on the Basic Set box.

In the past. In the dark past. Yet centuries after the Rain of Colorless Fire, I wrote web page. These index cards I think are the start of at least the second run at my notes on the Gord the Rogue novels that eventually turned into Gord's Greyhawk.
Handwritten on an index card:

Greyhawk Notes Saga of Old City

Gord Quadrapus - fostered by Leena who died when he was 11
Slum Quarter - narrow twisting alleys + gang ways. Ruins, shacks, - thieves avoid it, full of beggars, lunatics, desperate people
Gangs of urchins
2 sections, 1 worst, 1 menial laborers live

[sketch showing Killcat Lane with an alley leading off of it]

Killcat Lane - runs into Slum 1/4 near foreign 1/4
Petit Bazaar - open area surrounded by Brick buildings. Rectangular plaza near Blackgate

Theft in Greyhawk City - 1st offense - penal servitude
2nd offense - loss of hand; goods not recovered - flogging then axe

bloodpox - plague w/ scabby sores, lack of muscle control, spasms, - fatal unless cure disease or save vs. Death.

Column 2:
Clyde the Sharper - workhouse guard, has connections with Theobald
Theobald - Beggarmaster - fat sadist
Thieves Quarter -near Workhouse

Next skeet will include a link to a Google Doc with full text.Handwritten notes reading:

Beggarmaster quarters - Several levels - each a maze of small cubicles - Gord’s was on top floor
Cellar gas a kitchen, unused back stairwell, secret shaft to sewers from Beggarmaster’s room disguised as a cistern - 100’ deep small ledge + old cap

[on left side is a handrawn map of a narrow corridor with several small rooms, six to a side of the hall, a stairwell at one end, and a large room at the other.]

Under the table is a concealed trap door, leads to passage between cities - ends at a pawn shop

[sketch crossed out showing “Odd Alley”]

[second sketch with a vertical line labeled “The Processional” an arrow at the top pointing up and labeled “to Garden Quarter” another arrow at the bottom pointing down and labeled “to Grand Square and Citadel” Midway along The Processional and extending to the right is another line. Off of that line extending down is a short line labeled “Odd Alley”]

Next skeet will include a link to a Google Doc with full text.
