Going through Aaron Blaise's Big Cats drawing course at the moment. It's been years since I've drawn this frequently! #sketchbook #drawing

Went away on a solo creative retreat with the dogs for a few nights. I meant to draw, paint and sculpt but spent most of the time taking photos instead. I had no idea that pīwakawaka (NZ fan tail) had such aggressive white eyebrows! Feeling very creatively refreshed and excited to make art! 🩷

A drawing I did for a coworker when his dog, Axel, passed away. Doing surprise drawings for people feels so much more rewarding than commissions. #graphite #pencildrawing #petportrait #drawing

A drawing done with graphite pencil of a bulldog named Axel. He is lying down, his mouth is open and he is looking off to the viewer's right.

Been itching to draw this power pole at the new house and also itching to draw in my new toned grey sketchbook. #sketchbook #drawing #pendrawing

I don't remember how long this one took but I know it was a while and really stretched my skills working out how to draw white fur on white paper. A dark background wasn't part of the plan but I made an irreversible mark on the paper and had to hide my sins 😂 #pencildrawing #graphite #petportrait

Graphite pencil drawing of a Bichon Frisé looking off to the viewer's right with its mouth open, wearing a collar with two tags. The background is dark.

The first pet portrait I ever did was of my grandfather's English Springer Spaniel, Jimi. He was a loyal and gentle 3-legged companion and when he passed, I drew his portrait as a gift for my grandfather. #graphite #drawing

Graphite pencil portrait drawing of an English Springer Spaniel named Jimi. It is of his head and chest at a 3/4 angle. He has his tongue out and is looking off to the viewer's left.
