Think about how many lives would be saved if the IDSA Lyme guidelines didn't *discourage* routine Lyme screening for neuropsychiatric patients in areas where ticks are a problem. In many cases, curable Lyme can progress to serious neurological disease, sometimes resulting in violent behaviors.
