I’m unplugging in a bit to sit with a cup of cocoa by the tree with this girl in my lap to read my annual favorite, A Christmas Carol. Can you top top that? I’d love to hear about it. #books #writingcommunity #ADHD

On our morning walk, my husband, who is very understanding about my #ADHD. laughed when I brought up hyper-focus and sad it was a contradiction. People really don’t get that. He very sweetly listened and was fascinated by my explanation.

#ADHD Christmas failures. I had to re-wrap the Christmas lights not once...not twice...but three times because I kept forgetting to pay attention to the male/female parts of the cord. (They'll go together the wrong way once! Then you're in trouble!)

Uncle Don handed Top cat a business card, and handed one to me, Jack, and Jimmy as well. It read: Donald M. Schmaltzburger: Talent Agent and Asst. Musical Director WTLK. I placed my card and Jack’s in my shirt pocket. #BookishTues #BuryMeUpsideDown

I've been asked to do a book signing (my first!) at the high school of the town where I grew up and where my book is set, during the school day. I have no idea how many books to purchase for the event. The school is 4 grade-levels and graduated 500 last year. Any suggestions? #writingcommunity

I've reached the combine-the-chapters-to-edit-out-the-crap stage of #editing, which is why I'm writing a post on Bluesky.

Who here, when scanning for an item, will never find it if it’s the first or last item? My ADHD brain ignores first/last. #ADHD

I think when I can't read in an ADHD way, you know how it is, it is so funny to me that when I pick up my own books, I get sucked right in a d end up reading until 1am as if I don't know what happens I think it is just so familiar? And maybe that's what I need to help me read again

Has this just become acceptable? (I'm not an editor) I'm seeing this all the time. ---> "The end of a speaking part should be a period," she pulls out her hair in frustration. Dialog tags are things that can be spoken! Has this become acceptable? Am I nuts? #editing #writingcommunity

Help me brainstorm Christmas mishaps for a book I'm working on. You know those stories that start with, "Remember that one time when____?" Please share the Christmas mishap your family will never stop talking about. 🎄 #Writingcommunity #ReadReviewRepost

Anyone else with #ADHD struggle with calendars? I struggle with every single step starting with opening it. Then I can’t seem to write the correct date and/or time in the spot. I have strategies for coping with everything else but this one drives me batty.
