Loved reading this post on Dr Phil's ID focused substack to abate some of the "AI is coming" hubbub we've been seeing lately. drphilippahardman.substack.com/p/future-of-... [2of2]

"Researchers found that enhancements like emotional design helped engagement for adult learners, but not test scores unless paired w' deep cognitive strategies. This disconnect bt engagement & learning highlights the need for instructional design to push active learning over passive viewing." [1of2]

Gonna start sharing some of my lil sayings/ musings/ affirmations under the tag #MondayMissive because, reasons! I wrote myself this note after getting my ADHD dx as a way to take power back: “In a world where attention is currency, mono-tasking for flow state is a radical act. Focus + flow.”

Taking a book sharing break to be a content sharer instead. Got an unexpected work break thx to a canceled mtg and decided to break out my color pencils. Sketching up my new portfolio site design before heading into Figma… Yay for being a ‘real creative’ and not letting my tools define my ideas!

It's really dystopian to see how digitizing everything, which was supposed to keep records safe, is instead being used to quickly purge information. We should have known I guess, but cripes.

SO the challenge version I pulled from said nothing but the cover BUT… 1) rules are for bending 2) we legit grew up not wanting to judge books only by covers & 3) my fave hot take: If content is king, context is queen. … so y’all gon’ get these parentheticals going fwd 😅

Watching this #OpenAICritique and #DeepSeek mass reveal with a biggole bucket of popcorn. I “have to” and kinda like using genAI for some parts of my day job. Totes agree that the hype, resources and general lack of intentional deployment are the dark side of a promising interesting tool. #DontAtMe
