🚐 Long before modern caravan parks, families were bringing horse-drawn caravans onto Hayle Towans for summer holidays. This 1913 photograph from the Blight family collection shows one of the earliest known holiday caravans on the dunes. 🌊#JourneysExhibition #Hayle

Today we remember Hayle-born Rick Rescorla, one of the heroes of 9/11. His evacuation drills at Morgan Stanley helped save more than 2,600 lives when the World Trade Center was attacked. He was last seen heading back into the tower to help others. ❤️

Celebrating Holyer an Gof awards with ‘The Neet Estuary & Coastline History…before there was Bude’ by Nick Cole. It was winner of the class covering publications on ‘Science, Environment, Industrial and Maritime’. The book tells the story of northeast Cornwall’s prehistory from a local perspective!
