my father past (a couple yes ago) & even a couple years before he did i never really felt safe. Whn he passed life got really hard. For once i feel safe where i am & who im w/. I dont dread the future and smile a lot more. Its strange but in the best ways.

It is i found an article discussing the meds he was on. In hindsight (from my memory) he was given an antidepressant since he was thought to be depressed but was bipolar. Being on only antidepressants & bipolar might make that person suddenly become manic. Broke my heart the more i read.

Oh and tbh im not stating that this could be all set up. If the sister’s claims are true then it means his family would be in on it too. Tbh that reality scares me more but w/the world now it wouldnt surprise me. If it comes out the sister nvr said tht then def seems more of a set up imo

Yeah np. The show Criminal Minds kinda sparked my interest in abnormal psych/profiling. If u look into the aurora Colorado theater shooter he had been struggling as well & detached himself. Sadly he seeked help but it didnt help. No manifesto but a similar situation in terms of mental health

Its actually something they discuss in criminal minds often. Whn making things public dont give them a nickname (media does it anyway) & not to focus too much on the killer since its usually what a lot of them want.

Thts what i thought at 1st but i love psych & the show criminal minds. Doing something to either get their names &/or message “known” is a common thing for serial killers so especially hearing claims tht his sister said his mental health spiraled this situation makes more sense to me.

i work in education currently and not in the psych/mental health field directly like planned. But i dont regret getting my degree in psych. I have used so much of my education/knowledge in my own mental health struggles. Evn had a class that helped me process/get through my Dads death. Worth it ngl

I found myself in a similar situation with grief. My normal coping tools drained me of energy even which made things harder. Please take time to listen to your body and let yourself grieve. Its really hard but i slowly became less exhausted very slowly once i started doing that.

My background in research is only w/in Psych & I mainly focused on clinical psych ovr research. Tbh i havent even used that label until now but in hindsight social sciences most likely wouldve been a better term. Interesting to hear that the other sciences have similar struggles tho.
