An advert for a 24 July drone technology exhibition in the Kyiv Oblast, posted on #Ukraine social media – the very same event which, to no one’s surprise, was targeted by two Iskander-M missiles, killing 10 people and injuring over 100. OPSEC at ‘moron ultimate’ level.

For those who have doubts about #Ukraine hits on #Russia logistical hubs like Wildberries, here’s a proud summary posted by Russian media where they boast about how “since start of 2026 we hit over 20 jibs of Nova Poshta”. Now Ukraine joined the game and they whine.

You are as ignorant as one can be. Eastern Europe will never return to Russian zone of control. In communist Poland average monthly salary was $20 and we had to spend nights in fucking queues at winter to buy shitty meat. Here’s your “prosperity in the East”:

It's not about the flag. Black-and-red flag was used by Polish Engineering Corps (sappers) unit which frequently causes shitstorms among Polish ignorant snowflakes. The only truly incendiary topic is the 'heroism' of Klachkivsky and Shukhevych mandated universally on all UPA by Vyatrovych.

Ukraine designed a new 2000 UAH bank note with the portrait of Vasyl Stus, an Ukrainian poet and translator who perished in Soviet Perm-36 labour camp in 1985, right in the middle of “glasnost”.

The whole point of my comment is there's nothing in the technology alone that prevents it from being built in that time and cost, unlike for example nuclear fusion. What we suck at is the actual execution, which is influenced by media whims and external influence.

But LCOE is a misleading indicator that only captures the life-time cost from a single source, not accounting for what the grid needs to do in order to provide 24/7 electricity. That's why LFSCOE was created - cost of balancing and grid expansion is usually huge en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cost_of...

Reasonable cost of electricity global studies were produced by IPCC and IEA, much more reliable institutions than private investment banks - here's LCOE en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cost_of...

Man, people in Germany pay to drink and breathe radon, and have two deep geologic storages that keep thousands of tons of cyanide, mercury and arsenic waste from chemical industry so it’s proven they can sensibly deal with all these challenges.

Every your single claim is wrong, which is precisely why you don’t provide any sources to support them. But happy disputing with IPCC…

It’s low but not the lowest per kWh. Primary factors for PV are land use and mined resources used to manufacture them. (UNECE, 2021)

And this is great news, but I don't think you understand the actual impact of lignite with emission intensity of over 1000 gCO2eq/kWh. Fossil gas is 500 gCO2eq/kWh.

"Are being phased out" doesn't mean they are phased out or that they will be phased out to zero. I have already shown you the current power output from lignite. Germany literally chose to keep 1000 gCO2eq/kWh fuel over 5.6 gCO2eq/kWh one.

This has been modeled inside out many times - LFSCOE (levelized full system cost of electictricity) captures these costs. Massive storage is ONLY required in 80-100% renewable scenarios, a classic Pareto principle. Adding as little as 30% dispatchable source reduces the need for storage.

Pavel Gubarev 🇷🇺 doesn’t seem to believe Putin’s statement that “our army is attacking on the whole line of SVO”. Gubarev says that actually “there’s no offensive for a long time and on some directions we are losing ground”. I wonder who has more accurate information? 🤔(really I’m not)

You wonder why I mention DESERTEC? One reason is that was the only such project explicitly mentioned by name in 2011 Energiewende programming document, as an evidence the nuclear phase-out is feasible and easy:

You must be the German guy who in 2011 argued that "alternatives to nuclear and fossil are just behind the corner" so they can safely phase-out nuclear and still go net zero on schedule? Meanwhile lignite in 2026:

In response to Russians it’s usually best to quote Russians. In addition to the famous “movement on our troops on our territory is our sovereign right, bugger off” (Peskov 2021; Putin 2022) we now have Lavrov who replied to demilitarisation demand from UE with a simple “it’s an idiotic proposal”.

Granted presence of former “Wagner” operatives in Belarus and numerous threats of hybrid aggression towards the Eastern flank, that’s fully justified precaution. There were cases where known GRU operatives from Syria entered EU this way. Below 2021 storming of the border.

As long as they follow the host country's legal process, true. If you are an economic migrant and can afford human trafficking service, then you can also afford the legal visa process, as millions of other people did. If you don't, the question arises what you've got to hide?
