That's the same as two standard drinks a day. The NIAAA recommends a daily limit of two drinks for men and one drink for women. 010

According to the NIAAA, a standard drink of beer is 12 fluid ounces and for spirits is 1.5 fluid ounces. The consumption of ethanol (aka the active ingredient in alcohol) increased by 4% between 2012 and 2022. 110

It seems marginal, but these changes show a lot more intensely when looking at the consumption of ethanol in drinks. 110
