Analogue photo of a lake surrounded by forest – mostly spruce and pine. The water is calm with only a few ripples, and a small white boat lies upside down by the shore. The closest side lies in shadow, while the other side is still lit by the evening sun.

A high-contrast, black-and-white photograph of a room with a very high ceiling and a narrow but very tall window at the end. At the centre of the room, dramatically lit by the tall window, is a wooden table with five chairs on either side of it. The walls and ceiling are covered in elaborate murals and the floor is tiled in a black-and-white pattern, but the room is otherwise empty. It almost has an air of holiness to it, like a secular cathedral. (The acoustics loudly supported this impression.)

An abstract ‘photo’ that's just a black frame with lots of bright red vertical light leaks. A photo of tall trees towering above a path in the woods. The sun shines on the treetops but doesn't reach beneath them, so the ground and many of the trees in the foreground are all dark. The silhouette of a single electric light pole stands out like a sore thumb, betraying that this is not, in fact, a particularly wild spot.

The ice does not reach the water any more, but the bare and worn rock shows that the glacier used to be much bigger back in the day.

On the still water in front of the glacier sits a large cruise ship, somewhat out of place – or perhaps exactly where it should be, as a symbol of human-made global warming, its effects on the earth and people's desire to see what beauty is left that we have not yet ruined completely.

Some windows are covered in curtains and all but one matted window in the basement are dark. The place does not appear to be in use, or maintained much at all.

As for the building itself, the right half looks like the walls are clad in rifled metal plates, once painted blueish, now peeling and rusting. A fence with a gate and some sort of entrance or guardhouse is connected to the building, barring access to the more industrial-looking area on the right. On closer inspection, it looks like a camper van may be parked right behind the fence and gate.

Small, urban dinosaur getting the lay of the land for #Birbsday. 📷 Minolta α-7 🔎 Sony 70–300/4.5–5.6 G SSM II 🎞 Hundred 800 (Kodak Vision3 500T) #AnalogPhotography #BirdPhotography
Photo of a very young magpie standing on cobblestone, looking around. With very short tail feathers, pointy claws, hunched posture and slightly awkward proportions, the magpie's dinosaur heritage is surprisingly visible for such an everyday bird that no one pays any attention to.

In no news to probably anyone, the 100 mm macro is pretty fun. 📷 Minolta α-7 🔎 A 100/2.8 macro 🎞 Hundred 800 (Kodak Vision3 500T) #AnalogPhotography #MacroPhotography #MinoltaGang #BelieveInFilm
A very close-up photograph of the shutter speed dial on an analogue camera. The knurled metal knob has speeds from 8 (seconds) to 1000 (or 1/1000th of a second), with the slowest painted yellow and the rest white. It is currently set to a position labelled ‘Auto’, also in yellow.

Next to the dial sits the metal shutter release button, and behind the dial you can see the red mark denoting the film plane for measuring exact focus distance. Framing the scene are the black prism house to the left and the blurry silhouette of the film advance lever at the bottom.
