I think that was Seiklus for me! It made me realise you don't need violence to make cool video games, and introduced me to the concept of metroidvanias. Plus it had a crazy good chiptunes soundtrack!

Sounds like we need to do an Australia bushwalking trip 👀

Setting Big Walk in the Australian bush was a stroke of genius. It has such a strong sense of place (golden wattle! kookaburras! squeaky sand!) and makes me miss home.

I really loved writing fake radio ads in Cook Serve Forever. I think any time where you get to do worldbuilding within real life formats (like a 30 sec radio spot) is fun.

Had way too much fun putting this trailer together. (Also game's gonna be great, we're working really hard on it!)

I'm so sorry, Jeff. That's awful. I hope you're doing as well as you can be given the circumstances.

I absolutely adore this! I was ranting to a friend the other day how I wished there was a Cahiers du Cinema for games, and here we are. <3

A few years ago I co-created a sitcom for Australian TV called Metro Sexual. Our broadcast agreements are done and dusted, which means both seasons are now on YouTube! Here's the first ep! www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ho5a...

Time Crisis is truly the perfect name - it's a title that could almost fit every game ever made. Cook Serve Delicious? That's a (Multitasking) Time Crisis. Death Stranding? That's a Time(fall) Crisis. Unpacking? That's an (Existential) Time Crisis.

This really resonates with me. I adored the counter-culture vibe of early internet and found so much genuine community in its weird corners, but now it's just... noise.

I've been really enjoying Cook Serve Forever!!! The art, animation, story, music, everything just feels so rich and full of love. Today I got jumpscared by a Vietnamese grandma speaking some Vietnamese in the game? And a pun restaurant name that I will... tolerate... (I'm very picky about Pho puns)

Now that Cook Serve Forever is out, here's my favourite frame of animation, featuring Nori mid freakout. From the wonderful @andreanagai.bsky.social #screenshotsaturday #gamedev

One of the unfortunate aspects of #gamedev is we rarely have behind the scenes photos, so here's some from the week we recorded the game's voice work in LA back in July 2022. ✨

Cook Serve Forever is out today. This game has had a profound impact on my life. Professionally, sure, but more than that because of the new friendships I've made and the old ones I've strengthened.

(in the tone of a terrible q&a with the audience) Hi Victoria, firstly congrats on the book. Will there be an audiobook version and also what's your favourite meal at white spot? Thank you.

This is... basically exactly how I feel. I'm taking solace in the fact Labor still needs the Greens to pass legislation in the senate. But man, the Greens need to do some soul searching after this because this election was so fertile for them and here we are.
