“To be cringe is to be free” is hands down genuinely the best life advice I’ve ever gotten Enjoy things, don’t let others’ opinions ruin your enjoyment

I wish vyvanse didn’t make my emotions entirely uncontrollable and volatile or else I absolutely would take it over Concerta. Honestly the most locked the fuck in I’ve ever been

Tbf labeling an overhang start as a v0 is putting it on the upper end of v0 imo. The ratings are often gym (and even route setter) dependent so it could just be the route setter thought is was really easy because they’re good at overhangs

Honestly Kris having 71 references for their pronouns is the most accurate depiction to how it feels to be nonbinary I have seen from any piece of media

Been getting back into FFXIV with my partner, fantasia'd into a Hrothgal and have decided they're a lap cat (despite being too large to be a lapcat)

An image of Nyx Hrafn, a Hrothgar enby, stretching with their weight on Altair Hrafn's (a fem Viera) lap. Altair looks concerned for her legs safety, while Nyx looks incredibly satisfied.

go tell your favorite artists you like their work. you may think they hear it enough or your praise would be identical to someone else's so you say nothing, but i promise you they would love to hear it. and sometimes they need to hear it.

Light sidechaining can also be applied to things in different frequency ranges to give stuff more of a “bounce” and highlight things

Kra3tor, Now With New Music Out! @kra3tor.bsky.social · 05/05/2026

Basically, output from one track acts as the input to a compressor on another track. It’s often used to have things that compete with each other frequency-wise not do that, such as a kick and a sub bass (the kick’s output ducks the gain on the bass)

I showed my partner Red Mage in XIV last night and it was finally enough to convince her to down off other players effects forever lmao

I mean. I write prog and vocaloid metal. I’m already enough of a nerd as is, might as well lean into it (my 8 string is the Sarah Longfield signature strandberg lol)

I’m a biiiig fan of browsing Bandcamp’s new releases feed as well. Sure there’s a lot of slop content but I’ve found quite a few gems by just clicking on whatever catches my eye and listening

Also death metal tends to take a lot of inspiration from classical music, Archspire for example has quite a few sections in their songs that would sound like an etude written 4 centuries ago if played on piano (see the intro guitar part here) m.youtube.com/watch?v=MlnG...

Ah yeag, definitely helps to have some references for style stuff but a lot of metal is fast and features lots of power chords (5ths, tho 4ths are becoming more popular because of how angry they can sound). Also drums and bass do a looooooooot to fill out a song’s guitar part, especially the bass

Programmed guitar tends to sound very robotic, gotta humanize/randomize velocities and note timings a bit to make it sound more organic. I’ve played guitar for about 15 years now, and I genuinely don’t think I could get every note to sound identical if I tried.

Chicken thighs are so fucking GOATed, you can cook em for ages and still have them be tender and flavorful, and you can keep the bones and make stock. My personal fave spice mix for them is Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper, very tasty

I just moved here recently and absolutely love this city. Yes, it’s scary living here right now, with ICE breathing down our necks, but the fact is I know I can count on the people around me to do the right thing, and protect each other. And that makes me feel safe.

Electric razors work but don’t usually end up as smooth as a safety razor or epilating/waxing/semi-permanent removal (laser, electro). One of my partners convinced me to try safety razor and it’s changed my life (it did help that they taught me to use it in a very gay way, hand on mine etc)
