Every few miles he would pass a video billboard. He heard them long before he could see them. Sometimes featuring Jonathan Sterling, sometimes not. Well into the night, the boards continued to preach. The shows would change but they would all have the same basic message. God is Good, God is Right. Love Him and He shall love you. Praise the Lord, Hallelujah. The Heavens above are watching.

It was an irritating lullaby.

Once in a while the video would snap and tear, and for an instant Zak thought he heard or saw something else. Something trying to break through. Or something being aggravatingly coy. Sometimes the breakthrough would be fuzz, sometimes a hiss of static which overlaid a word or two. Zak only caught a small snippet once. Something about crows.

Try to learn your problem words. A lot of people say their characters nod, smile or sigh a lot. Find/replace/delete some. Read aloud or do text to speech. You will pick out words you _just_ said because you _just_ said them. Writing group. Reading aloud to other people helps.
