He sometimes leaves Washington in the middle of session weeks. And asking him to do “the bare minimum of being a senator” often involves “begging” him to take meetings, one former staffer said, sharing a sentiment echoed by several others.

Continually disappointed with US lack of absolutely righteous pissed-off-ness. The realities of US schooling deserve riots at the very least.

Student grievances include overcrowded classes of up to 40 children in crumbling buildings, poor teacher pay, staff absences and an unequal system in which social background determined success. Other factors are an opaque and difficult online system for university applications as well as the sweltering temperatures in classrooms during heatwaves.

Here's the thing: Platner probably legitimately does not think he's done anything wrong. I think back to Lundy Bancroft's book, Why Does He Do That, and his observation that abusive men are actually good at recognizing abusive behavior in other men but will endlessly rationalize it in themselves.
