I'm currently experimenting w/ a new style of residency for founders: online. 6 weeks. + a cohort of peers also working on their projects. Fits into your schedule (you're working on your project anyways), with expert creative support from myself and @gorum.bsky.social playintobeing.com/residency

Why not a founder residency? Sure, you could nod at accelerators or incubators, but they're driving at speed and high competition. Not a truly supportive *creative* studio space... until now

Meanwhile, artists have benefited from the residency model for centuries: ✔️ dedicated time & space ✔️ focused peers ✔️ real feedback ✔️ authentic relationships Less pressure. More presence.

Most founders are building their most important work alone. Heads down. Cranking. Coming up for air only when they need feedback. Focus isn't a problem. Isolation is.

Sometimes I hear people say ‘I wanna do some atproto stuff but don’t know what’. There’s no shortage of cool stuff that needs doing, especially if you dig into a specific project/app as opposed to trying to make a standalone thing from scratch. Now compiling project ideas in a community wiki 👇

Sometimes I hear people say ‘I wanna do some atproto stuff but don’t know what’. Please add all your ‘free ideas’ and pending projects that you’d love to see someone pick up.

I saw a ChatGPT commercial the other day and was so baffled. My friend politely informed me: "not everyone knows about ChatGPT so they have a commercial." I was incredulous. That's how much of a tech bubble I'm in - certain everyone at least KNOWS about ChatGPT

Where did the AI “overlord” language come from? Why so imperial empire vibes?

finding myself curious about abundance practices and how we articulate the abundances we already have in service of what we seek have found a simple gratitude exercise with another person as a witness is hugely powerful for this. the prompt is simple: what are you grateful for today - big or small

something I learned from yoga and attempting to bring into more conscious awareness in my daily work - pause and breathe before the next action always so much rushing around, on to the next, on to the next seeking more ~ e a s e ~

it turns out, when you ask for something, specifically, more often than not you get what you want Not like fantasy stuff but real adjacently possible, within arms reach requests People generally want to support others Ask and the universe provides ✨

The ultimate problem- which we keep losing sight of - is not how to create better models, it is how to create better humans. But for so many AI projects, humans are merely training data generators. How do we ensure that work on AI is in service of humanity and not vice versa?

Launching a new community for creative marketers this week! And performing in an immersive theater show Thursday (a first)! It’s premised as a rebel meetup to overtake an AI overlord where humans are fighting for their right to creative and emotional expression 🫠 Busy busy!

Working on setting better time boundaries with myself - particularly around work On a coaching call earlier we talked about the “clocking out” function for the day Mine’s a mix of Apple Notes & Reminders—and it really does help me put the work down for the evening, weekend or vacation
