Yup, a Kyocera 20MB MFM hard drive. I had to fix the motherboard though, leaked battery… It's a standard Suntac 286 board, nothing special.

The image is a meme featuring a confused-looking teenage boy standing outdoors in front of a blurred background that appears to be some kind of sign or vehicle. He has a puzzled facial expression with slightly furrowed eyebrows and a half-open mouth, as if he is reacting to something surprising or unexpected.

Large white uppercase caption text is overlaid at the top and bottom of the image in a typical meme style. The top text reads “YOU GUYS HAVE” and the bottom text reads “AIR CONDITIONED HOSPITALS?”, completing the joke.

The humor comes from the boy’s expression and the implication in the caption that he is shocked to learn that hospitals might have air conditioning, suggesting a contrast between his expectations and what he has just heard or realized.

Absolut.

The CV joint is held onto the drive shaft spline by two circlips. The outer one slipped off and all that was keeping the CV joint on was the rubber boot. When it gave way, the CV joint slowly slipped off, until it was only engaging with the last 2mm of the spline, which then sheared off.
A greasy mechanical shaft assembly, likely part of a vehicle drivetrain, is clamped in a vise on a workbench. The shaft has splines at the end, visible wear, and a retaining clip near a bearing or seal. Nearby are bolts and tools, suggesting ongoing repair or disassembly.

It's funny how widely different electric safety standards are… Here the minimum allowed distance to mount sockets/switches from a shower or bathtub is 60cm. In the UK it's 3m? First time I was on vacation in Cyprus (UK-style standards), I was slightly confused by the hair dryer in the bedroom… 😄

A grainy, VHS-style image shows a small green sprout growing from soil against a green background. Overlayed text reads: “IF THE SITUATION WAS HOPELESS” at the top and “THEIR PROPAGANDA WOULD BE UNNECESSARY” at the bottom, with a “PLAY” indicator and timestamp adding to the retro aesthetic.

Catception
This picture shows a cat sitting on a desk in front of a computer monitor. 🐱💻

The cat has gray and black striped fur with white areas on its chest, face, and paws. It is sitting upright and looking slightly to the side, with a calm and serious expression. Its whiskers are long and clearly visible, and its ears are pointed up.

Behind the cat, there is a computer screen displaying a webpage. On the screen, there appears to be a photo of another cat, along with text and images on the page. A webcam or small camera is mounted on top of the monitor.

On the desk in front of the monitor, you can see a keyboard and a computer mouse.

Overall, it looks like the cat is sitting at the computer like it is working or browsing the internet, which makes the picture a bit funny and cute. 😄🐾

sleepy boi #cat
This picture shows a cat resting on a desk. 🐱

The cat has gray and black striped fur with white areas on its face, chest, and paws. Its eyes are closed, and it looks very relaxed, as if it is sleeping or taking a peaceful nap. The cat is lying on its side with one paw tucked near its face.

Next to the cat, there is an orange textured mat, and part of a black cable can be seen on the mat. The desk appears to be light-colored wood, which contrasts nicely with the cat’s fur and the bright orange mat.

Overall, the scene feels calm and cozy, like the cat has found a comfortable spot to rest. 😺

That's completely normal behavior. Tantalum capacitors tend to short with age, if the power supply is able to source enough current, it will explosively blow the short free :)
The image shows an old desktop computer setup, likely from the late 1980s or early 1990s. 🖥️

Main elements in the picture

CRT Monitor:
A bulky beige cathode-ray tube (CRT) monitor sits on the right side of the desk. The screen is dark and not turned on.

Desktop Computer Case:
On the left is a horizontal desktop PC case with a floppy disk drive in the front. The case is open, exposing internal components such as cables and metal drive bays.

Floppy Drive & Buttons:
The front panel has several round buttons and a floppy disk slot, typical of early PCs.

German Warning Sticker:
A yellow label on the front reads:
This translates roughly to:
“The escape of smoke from this device is normal and harmless.”
It’s clearly meant as a humorous or sarcastic sticker.

Keyboard:
A large beige mechanical-style keyboard sits in front of the computer.

Screwdriver:
A screwdriver is placed on the desk near the monitor, suggesting someone is repairing or working on the machine.

The image shows a simple black-and-white sign that asks, “ARE YOU CHILDISH?”

Under the question, there are two options with checkboxes:

An empty box next to “YES.”

A box next to “NO.”

Inside the box next to “NO,” someone has drawn a childish doodle shaped like a penis. Additionally, a lowercase letter “b” is written right after the word “NO,” making it read “NOb.”

I hate replacing CV boots. It's so messy…
The picture shows a worn rubber bellows or boot placed on a dirty wooden workbench. The rubber part is black and has a large tear along one of its folds. It appears to be a flexible protective cover, possibly from a vehicle (like a CV joint boot or suspension component).

Next to it is a black work glove with yellow text that says “GALLEE” and some certification markings. On the left side of the image, part of a metal tool (possibly a pry bar) is visible. The background wall looks stained and dirty, suggesting a workshop or garage setting. The image appears to be a close-up view of a vehicle’s drivetrain area, likely near the front suspension and axle assembly.

In the center of the image is a black rubber CV boot (constant velocity joint boot). The boot has multiple accordion-style ridges and is mounted onto the CV joint housing on the right side. A metal retaining clamp is visible around the larger end of the boot, securing it to the joint. The boot looks new and clean compared to the surrounding components.

At the top of the image, there is a socket attached to a socket extension. It appears to be positioned horizontally, likely being used to tighten or secure a fastener during the CV boot installation.

On the right side, part of the CV joint housing and possibly suspension or steering components can be seen, including a large bolt head. In the lower and background areas, other suspension components and parts of the subframe are visible, with typical road grime and wear.

Overall, the photo captures the process of mounting a CV boot, with tools in place and the new boot being secured onto the axle assembly.
