Everyone can be “Ms.” from birth to death. It’s their choice. Also, boys used to be “Master” until a certain age, although that fortunately seems to have fallen out of use.

Yesterday a sweatshirt and jacket. Today a tank and shorts. #PureMichigan

If you have celiac, this is an excellent article about eating in restaurants. I thought I already asked all of the questions I need to, but I was wrong.

Excellent guidance here. I already ask most of the questions suggested here, but never thought to ask about the water the pasta was cooked in.

Michigan beat Western legitimately. Deal with it.

021 2

Karen @kpa2.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

So the refs used the wrong protocol to get the correct action, putting one second back on the clock, which allowed Michigan to attempt a second Hail Mary. But now officials say the “correct” (read: stupid) protocol should have been followed to play the game in 59:59 minutes. Makes no 🤬 sense.

I remember something similar happening at Michigan a while back. The fun thing was being able to leave the stadium to tailgate and then go back in

I am so missing Jim Harbaugh.

We have adults in the room now. What we don’t have is a B1G-caliber coach in the room.

I didn’t even know there was an acronym until everyone started talking about it today!

Not true, but I know better than to argue with self-righteous people with closed minds. Have a nice day!

You’re apparently not aware, but we’re not all alike. Also, not apologizing for a mess I didn’t get us into.

For those not familiar with it, the Gordie Howe Bridge connects Detroit and Windsor, Ontario. Building a third crossing here has been talked about for more years than I can remember. Thrilled that it’s finally come to fruition.

Karen @kpa2.bsky.social · 24/08/2026

Now that the Gordie Howe Bridge is finally open, I decided it was time to check it out up close. And by “up close,” I mean, “walking on it.” Never mind that I hate crossing bridges. 😂 Great experience.

Why can’t we ever have (keep) nice things? 😢

OK. Whining a bit here, so thank you for your patience. Having a sleepless night. It’s 5:30 am in my location. Trying all my usual tricks, which have been failing this time, thank you. And what’s not helping? The blasted birds outside my window!

Haven’t really cared about the World Cup. Not a soccer/futbol fan. But definitely experiencing FOMO since none of the games, uh, matches, are here (Ann Arbor) and everyone seems to be having a blast! Darned FIFA’s stupid requirements for stadiums, anyway. We could have easily filled the Big House.

Thought if I was watching a network program online, I’d be safe from local TV interruptions. But no! 😡

Paid a visit to the Crisler Center to check out the latest signage. A nice complement to the football national championship signage. 💙💛

Ha! Not what I was expecting from the last Late Show, but I’m loving the weirdness. Going to miss Colbert.

Started watching SNL late so way behind saying this, but that may have been the best cold open of the season!

If I was in charge of NCIS, I would have ended the season with today’s episode. Because given what we endured during the 500th episode, it would have been the perfect conclusion.

I want one of these stores.

Interesting. While I still enjoy it, for me, it’s not the same since Gibbs moved to Alaska. I like Kasie a lot, though.

You know what’s not fun? Tornado warnings in the middle of the night.

He did, indeed. Do you mean the current cast, or NCIS compared with other programs?

I always like Michigan, but I love this team. Great group of guys and national champions! #GoBlue

I’ve somewhat been expecting this, or something like it, to happen on NCIS. But I’m still shocked and disappointed. 😭

Reminds me of a conversation I had with my mom years ago during someone else’s State of the Union address. She detested that president but said yes, if invited, she would go, because he’s the president. And she respected the office.

Actually, I think it escalated to about 6 billion

Canada paid for the entire Gordie Howe Bridge project. I recall the Ambassador Bridge owners did everything they could to prevent its construction. But Trump endorsed the project during his first term. Have to wonder if the Moroun family has been whispering in his ear to get him to change his mind.

Clean the toaster to avoid cross contamination. (I didn’t do that. Oops.) if you find a particular food/snack you like, stock up because they may be discontinued. (RIP GF goldfish) Always read labels, even if you’ve purchased a product before. Companies change ingredients and don’t always note it.

A few things gave me pause during the Kyle Whittingham press conference, most notably his love for Urban Meyer. I really feel for all of the Michigan coaches who are going to lose their jobs because of Sheronne Moore’s actions. Was hoping Whittingham would keep many on, but it doesn’t sound like it

I’ll have to listen more closely next time I hear him speak.

With what was going on behind the scenes, should be an improvement. Not an exciting hire, so I’m concerned about how many players and recruits he’ll hold onto. He seems to be a good coach and the NCAA doesn’t hate him as it does Jim, so that’s helpful. Also will be good to have an adult in the room!

It’s not even 9:00. I should not be tired. And yet 🥱

That strikes me as odd. I stopped eating red meat long before my celiac diagnosis, but I know my doctor wouldn’t have an issue with it if I did start eating it again.

Wow. So this really hits home for you.

The happenings of the past few days have been bizarre and, sadly, tragic. For me, it started locally with the firing, arrest, and arraignment of our football coach. But it grew worse. Australia. Brown. And now the murders of two people, apparently by their son. Honestly, I don’t know what to say.
