Today is the third anniversary for SILVERLEAF!! (Glad I added that to my calendar) Three years ago I started publishing the series online for free. It may not be popular, have a ton of readers, or be a "sensation," but that's okay. It doesn't need to be. For it is my progress. #writersky

Been making some changes to updates, scheduling, and finished uploading the remainder of SILVERLEAF part 1 onto sites. While chapters have been posting weekly, I've been letting them lapse on some sites, catch-up on others, while taking the series down completely on another... #writersky

Yes, I've been a little quiet recently. I had a bit of a health... Idk panic (?) recently that we're just digesting and figuring out next steps for. All the while, husband and I are busy bees setting up our future shop (his dream business). Just been busy!! I'm still writing, and alive!!

#FantasyIndiesFebruary Day 10 Oh, woops. I already answered this already huh. Eh, yeah, I'm not big on romance. Taiga and Mouse, sorta. Ellio and Azhar, sorta. It's never a focus or a plot point. If feelings or relationships happen, it's usually woven through, not because of, the story.

#FantasyIndiesFebruary Day 9 Taiga: for what he is, and as the person his people represented. Mouse: WTF would he want to be known for? Jule: her achievements. Ellio: his integrity. Azhar: for having existed. She simply wants to be remembered. #silverleaf #writersky #booksky #writing

#FantasyIndiesFebruary Day 8 Favorite Tropes~ I think I've done this one before... Hmmmmm......... This is a tough one for me, as I don't usually go for specific tropes, since it depends on how they're written. I'm fond of found family a lot, tho~ #silverleaf #writersky #booksky

I made a mistake today. Posted a listing for an art job for my husband and I's future shop on the hungry artist subreddit earlier and sweet Jesus. Those guys are starving. My DMs are filled. They're all incredibly skilled. I have 1 job. I'm sorry. What now????

#FantasyIndiesFebruary Day 2 Eh, I'm not big on romance, tbh. Just not my thing. I'm ace, personally, and while I can write romance, I don't gravitate towards it. #Silverleaf does have some light romance in it, between Taiga and Mouse, and Ellio and Azhar. But it's never a main focus.

#FantasyIndiesJanuary Day 28 Taiga: rubbing between his eyebrows when annoyed Mouse: eyes start wandering to rocks and pebbles on the ground when bored Jule: elongating sounds when speaking excitedly Ellio: saying nothing when others are talking Azhar: humming in the silence #silverleaf

#FantasyIndiesJanuary Oooh, quite a lot. My original draft for #silverleaf played on the more light-hearted side, with both Taiga and Mouse being a bit more foolish. Jule and Ellio didn't exist, and Azhar was dead long before the story's setting. Also, Sweet Bun was a horse, not a linlao.

#FantasyIndiesJanuary Day 25 I have a lot of magical creatures and animals in #SILVERLEAF, and wildlife has a prominent role in the story. But for the "main" animals: - Sweet Bun the linlao - Ghost the elderly horse - Un and Ah the frog attendants ~ Bonus, a new companion coming soon ~ #booksky

#FantasyIndiesJanuary Day 21 Ooooh hmm, Taiga lost who he looked up to... Maybe his former knight captain? Mouse really only sees Taiga, so yeah. Jule looks up to her parents, refusing to believe in their deaths. And Ellio looks up to Jule, who raised him. Azhar... Is Azhar, lol. #silverleaf

#FantasyIndiesJanuary Day 19 Weaknesses... Taiga: the cold and fire Mouse: Taiga, the Guardian Spirits, and himself Jule: her parents Ellio: the weak, needy, Jule, Azhar, Taiga, Mouse, Ghost (horse), the neighbor, a person he passed on the street, everyone-- Azhar: what she is #silverleaf

#FantasyIndiesJanuary Day 16: How my characters handle stress... Taiga takes it with stride. He handles it because Mouse gets overwhelmed easily. The more stress Jule has, the shorter her temper is. So Ellio handles what she can't for her, even if it's too much for him. Azhar has no stress.

#FantasyIndiesJanuary Day 13: Pet peeves, hmm? Taiga: poor excuses for actions or lack thereof. Mouse: humans. That is all. Jule: ignorance, for purposeful avoidance of knowledge leads to stupidity. #silverleaf #writersky #writing #booksky
