Been playing with a British group of D&D'ers and one of them wanted me to know they were my boys. Also played with a group of Scottish Lads in Destiny and we found out we're less than five mins from each other. Wild connection. What a small world.

Yes! I very rarely make a flat out antagonistic NPC. When I do, it's because that's their their system of understanding, or are too deeply motivated to be swayed else where. The players are 100% meant to shape the NPCs belief systems to a degree. A friendly can become an enemy and vise versa.

Some NPCs I made for the homebrew world I made within the Cypher System/Numenera. Still love the impact the players had on some of them. The Star-Touched Maiden had her coding corrupted by a player and every now and then she has to program a duck into the world. #numenera #cyphersystem

The Cypher System is one of my faves outside of D&D. I love the homebrew world I built up in the system, and I love playing it with pals. From it, some of my fav NPCs have come to be; H.E.L.I.X, the Star Touched Maiden, and She-Who-Speaks have been shaped by the system and came into their own.

Even when I don't make a battle Tree encounter, my players somehow end up having a go at a Tree and losing against it. It wasn't supposed to be fought! It was just there in the Forest of Names. WHY WAS IT HIT? Anyways. Trees are permabanned from my world.

All my love stories have shaped my world lore across various systems. Asmodus (D&D homebrew lore), Rage (Numenera Homebrew Lore), and the Green Man (OGoA)....Love they lost was so great, it shaped the future, the Planes, and reality itself.

Sometimes, as a DM, I don't know if I impacted my players as a storyteller, or even as person....but then I see them telling stories. Stories we created together, and that is... so wonderful. I just think that's neat.
