Finally got Mando posed up and on display. I much prefer this ragtag armour compared to the chromed out stuff he ends up getting.

I wonder if all of these AI reverse engineered ports of games will alter how the likes of Sony et al view AI. It is being used in almost all of the native PC ports now. The thing that used to be an insurmountable task is now being overcome by AI. What was a security layer is now...nothing.

Besides the obvious one being LOST. It has to be The Walking Dead for me. A lot of that was due to the way it handled the source material. It was both faithful in some regards and then absolutely not in others...and it just made it a worse, meandering version of the comic.

Resident Evil 1. Playing it way younger than I should have been...and this absolutely terrified me. The rest of the game was creepy but just this specific tiny cutscene was nightmare fuel to me. I used to close my eyes when it played.

Grabbed this on complete impulse when my go-to online store happened to have a few in stock due to order cancellations...and it is such a good figure! Super solid build quality, great sculpting, all the accessories you'd need. Super happy to have Kratos in my collection of nerd crap! Lol

I'm not much of a lyrics poster. But listening to NIN today this felt pretty apt in a lot of ways for the world in general. Nine Inch Nails - Zero Sum

Do you remember the time we...
And all the times we...
And should have...
And were going to...
I know.
And I know you remember
How we could justify it all,
And we knew better,
In our hearts, we knew better,
And we told ourselves it didn't matter,
And we chose to continue,
And none of that matters anymore,
In the hour of our twilight,
And soon it will be all said and done,
And we will all be back together as one,
If we will continue at all.

Shame on us!
Doomed from the start,
May god have mercy on our dirty little hearts.

Shame on us!
For all we've done,
And all we ever were,
Just zeros and ones.

After just under 50h, Blue Dragon is finally finished...and it was pretty mid 😅. It kinda lives and dies on its art style but is fundamentally a "baby's first RPG". I'd probably lump it with something like Ni No Kuni in terms of how simplistic it all is and how its art carries the entire experience.

On the one hand, it's great that LEGO gives you an additional freebie when you buy certain kits. But on the other hand...it sucks that they can ONLY be obtained by buying the more expensive kit. I just want to buy astro!

Gundam Breaker 3 and all the DLC finished. I enjoyed it. It's very simplistic but it's got that same addictive flow of a Musou game where you kind of just switch your brain off and whack stuff. The highlight is the Gundam customisation though. It carries the entire experience.

KORNdoggychub @korndoggychub.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Gundam Breakers 3 may be incredibly repetitive...but building your own Gundam is super addictive!

Got this cheap off eBay. Works really well! (I always had issues with the Steam Deck remote play through Chiaki) Sadly Gundam Breaker 3 is one of the few games that doesn't friggin work because Bandai set the entire game to be non streamable 😐 So I'm back to playing it on the Vita 🤪

Finished MGS4. An excellent port of a uniquely batshit sequel to one of my favourite franchises. It still has by far the best fan-service section of any game i've played. It's just so well done! I ran this with reshade on Steam Deck and it looked and ran great!

Not super big on JRPG's tbh, but someone has made a native port of Blue Dragon called re:Blue and I wanted to give it a whirl. Runs perfectly on the Steam Deck and for the 10 minutes I've played it, it seems pretty charming. Might jump onto this after I finish up MGS4.

Finished Ubersoldier. It has a nonsensical story, hilariously bad voice acting and TEMU Wolfenstein gameplay...and yet I weirdly enjoyed my time with it despite all that. I think it was a whopping 84 pennies and took me about 6 hours. But don't buy it unless you enjoy some SlavJank.

I noped out of Slipknot quite a while back once they completely lost their edge and Corey's shitty side projects started to seep into the band...and with their corporate BS lately and firing half of their OG members it's hard to take them seriously. All that to say their new song is REALLY shit! 😂

MGS2 finished. I still think the same as when I first played it. It's the worst in the entire series. Not only because of Raiden being a bitch. But the environments, story, dialogue, atmosphere, characters, boss fights...It's all super mid. The Tanker is the only good part in the entire game!

271

KORNdoggychub @korndoggychub.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

Sony are crazy. The spiritual successor to MGS and they're just like...nah, Xbox can have it. Granted it's been 3 years with nothing to show for it, but still...this feels like a Demon's Souls level fumble to me, and they'll likely regret it later.

Even overclocked the Vita version of Gundam Breaker 3 is just too compromised...but after only an hour of dumb mech customisation and brainless hack and slash action I jumped on eBay and imported the complete PS4 version. Not sure why this didn't get a western release?!
