10. one too many chocolat - chocolat nonstop bangers. her album hamster is also amazing. composers all across the scene, ending up super varied AND still cohesive as an album. a lot of care put into the flow between tracks. fave tracks: one too many rain, Kanaeruyo, No Regrets

watched american pop last night. was a little hesitant getting into bakshi because i always hear complaints about the writing in his movies but i really loved it. had tons of energy, fast pace and real sense of grand scale, and so many jaw dropping backgrounds. reminded me a lot of mind game

9. Yura Yura Yureru - Hirono Nishiyama (she's also Gutevolk) ambient, hypnotic patterns w/ textural changes, breathy dissonant vocals, rough and unpredictable in an exploratory way, like music in its own world. not always great but interesting faves: night bird and wind, l'été, yureteru ukanderu

8. Prokofiev: Symphony No. 3; Scythian Suite - London Philharmonic Orchestra a vibe, definitely feel the influence on film scores (like 60s-90ish). need to get back to listening to more classical stuff

4. S.F. sound furniture by capsule catchy chiptune laced groovy beats. the really crunchy highs in picopop can get abrasive (esp after extended listening) but capsule consistently does it well regardless. love the saccharine overload faves: 宇宙エレベーター, Super Scooter Happy, 未来生活

1. Submarine by The Marias chill, silky smooth pop. warm synths, floating vocals, nice basslines. started wanting for some new textures after a while, the lyrical and musical content is very much on one subject and the melodies don't try to surprise best songs: no one noticed, blur, if only
