Environmental DNA (eDNA) measures site biodiversity using fewer samples than methods that depend on direct observation. Rain & snowmelt regularly move across the surrounding landscape, carrying DNA shed by plants, animals, and microbes, which accumulate for efficient sampling. #eDNA #Biodiversity
