I made this lil metronome app, so you and your bandmates can sync up together (everyone join same room, someone press play) it's free, and no login/signup required, and it handles complex time-signatures and stuff. multimetro.konsumer.workers.dev

Just released my first thing on Steam. It's open-source, and you can get it on Github, but it's a bit easier to install on SteamDeck, if you buy it. store.steampowered.com/app/5043200/... It's a pretty fun way to make music, and can do a lot of things.

You can use it as an instrument (via MIDI) and sequence MIDI, and it works with SFZ/SF2 soundfonts, and several different types of internal instruments (oscillator/effects/granular/analog-drums/etc)

No, I'm not on the list anymore, I think I was years ago. Its very initial and a few other big projects have come up, but I'd love to finish it.

I also made a lil web renderer to preview a patch. my idea here is to eventually be able to prototype your audio thing in pd, and then target a million outputs and play with the (nice and readable) faust code.

David Konsumer @konsumer.bsky.social · 19/03/2026
I made this thing: github.com/konsumer/pdast It should allow you to analyze and convert puredata patches. Initial focus is conversion to faust, so you can make VSTs, LADSPA, wasm, standalone native apps, native pd extensions, etc, all from pd patches.

I put a lil love into my simple node-raylib RPG example-engine. Basic idea is you edit your maps in tiled, tweak your game-objects behavior in js, and write your dialog/logic flow in markdown.

I think I forgot to mention it, but I celebrated being put back on github with this: brainbang.github.io/sbagen-web/ Put on headphones! it will load any of the de-obfuscated "digitial drugs" files, and anything else that runs in sbagen, with nothing to install!

I made a weird sort of game-engine. It works on native & web. It runs all user-code from inside WGSL. You can load images/sounds/models and display them. I have a few examples (tetris, snake, a few tech-demos.)

I printed these whistles with PIRC hotline number on them. Should be fork/editable, if you want to put different text. They print fast and are very loud! I tested with PLA and PETG+ CF, no supports. PETG+ is better for high-temp, but PLA will hold up fine in most places. rb.gy/uo2qxl

I default to MIT, becaus I really want anyone to be able to use my stuff, unless I want "credit", in which case I use zlib license.
000
David Konsumer @konsumer.bsky.social · 15/01/2026
Well MIT doesn't require attribution stuff, so you can totally say 'i made this" or " this is that thing the other guy made" when it's not true.

I talked with Timothy Lee Peterson, and he does not have the list. If anyone does, give it to us both!

David Konsumer @konsumer.bsky.social · 15/01/2026
I am a big fan of libpng/zlib license for situations like this. it's basically like "do whatever you want with this, but no warranty, and you have to say I made the original thing, and you can't say your thing is what I made."

David Konsumer @konsumer.bsky.social · 15/01/2026
I mean also the many verified hacks like Gab, Tea, WhiteDate, Parler, etc. they had to upload their photo IDs on most of those! Who actually has the list though. I cannot find actual 4500 ICE members raw list anywhere, and lots of dubious claims of people seeing it.
010
David Konsumer @konsumer.bsky.social · 15/01/2026
I see things like this around, but like who actually has the real actual list? I don't think this guy does. Someone prove me wrong!
100
David Konsumer @konsumer.bsky.social · 15/01/2026
I just want the raw list. I can cross-ref with tons of other verified hacks/leaks (Gab, Tea, WhiteDate, Parler, etc) and get some real information, but this just seems fake, like people who have seen "the full list" certainly aren't sharing it. I call bullshit.

David Konsumer @konsumer.bsky.social · 15/01/2026
I also checked on ta VPN from a few different countries, and got less errors (sidenote: "blocked" message is from their webserver, not the government or something) but also way less names.
010
David Konsumer @konsumer.bsky.social · 15/01/2026
Is it just me, or does the "4500 ICE agents named" list seem completely bogus? I went to the site, definitely not 4500 names on there. They don't want to release it any other way but slow page-by-erroring-page (I will seed the torrent!) from their server.

I have been working on a new project (github.com/notnullgames...) similar to my game engine (github.com/notnullgames...). You can make your game for web/native in any language, without recompile, using familiar Raylib API. It still needs some work, but you can make stuff in it now!

C has that problem, too. Floats are weird.
020
David Konsumer @konsumer.bsky.social · 26/10/2025
yep, or even just like files. Regardless of language, you can't put complex objects directly in a file, and get it back, without serialization, in every case.
030
David Konsumer @konsumer.bsky.social · 26/10/2025
it also seems a bit funny to be like "because js doesn't have types" but the truth is it's the opposite prob, here. Only 1 type is allowed for localstorage, not "whatever you want"
020
David Konsumer @konsumer.bsky.social · 26/10/2025
it's worse passing things over webworker-boundry. some things work, but a lot don't (I tend to just do JSON-able + typed-arrays)
010
David Konsumer @konsumer.bsky.social · 26/10/2025
it solves a much bigger problem, like if you really allow anything, there are still lots of things that don't work (imagine storing unresolvable pointers to disk, in C, for example.) it's easy to think it's all about "js sucks" but I don't think it's the worse solution possible.
010
David Konsumer @konsumer.bsky.social · 26/10/2025
the first one's answer is "it was simpler for casual users, and stuck" and the answer to 2nd is "localstorage can't efficiently or appropriately store everything, so they just went with the easiest"
210
David Konsumer @konsumer.bsky.social · 26/10/2025
like it's really 2 complaints: "why does js coerce non-strings into string?" and "why doesn't localstorage only store strings?"
110
David Konsumer @konsumer.bsky.social · 26/10/2025
being mad about it (and you have every right to, obviously) makes me feel like "why can't I just get a complex object from a fetch or a file-read?" I mean you can, you just have to serialize/deserialze (with JSON or whatever.)
230
David Konsumer @konsumer.bsky.social · 26/10/2025
numbers-for-object-keys too, like thing[1] is really thing['1'], so if you ask for thing[1] it still works, because it coerces it both times to string.
010
David Konsumer @konsumer.bsky.social · 26/10/2025
much like keys of an object like thing[some-complex-object] it will just coerce to string ([object Object]) it gets even weirder when things are inconsistant, though, like passing types across web-worker boundary. some things are cool, but others are not.
110
David Konsumer @konsumer.bsky.social · 26/10/2025
There are quite a few other ways to store stuff on web if you hate it, but yes localstorage is strings-only. It has to do with consistency (cookies are also string-only) and there is already a pretty standard serialization format that works well, if you need more types (JSON.)

There have been lots of things like meshtastic for a while, but this works easily over anything, not just lora. I have a radio (about $15) hooked to my computer, which connects that to a much wider TCP/IP connection (over the internet.) I get a range of around 5 miles, on very cheap devices.

The key differentiator of reticulum and other similar things, in my mind, is that the address is your key, so "if you can open it, it's yours" but no physical addresses or anything like that, and also no sender-info, unless you can read it.
