say what you want about Disney's live-action remakes, but one thing that made them appealing was how characters were updated from 2D to 3D—a fairytale come to life. toothless here looks very similar to his animated form, which makes the project feel even more redundant to me idk 🤷🏿‍♂️

Thinking about how CN/WB/max has a pretty big initiative for future content in 2021 that was pretty much decimated the minute the discovery came into the frame so many dead projects

exactly why I try to keep production into account when critiquing a show. of course, the end product is still the end product at the end of the day but recognizing what caused a show to look a certain way leads to much more productive conversation

Sometimes I see ppl outside the field comparing shows animation and I wish I could go on an hour rant on how the end product is SO DEPENDENT on a pipeline, and sometimes crappy pipelines are forced upon you to by studios, sometimes you’re reinventing one through trial and error..

Fore sure!! I thought I knew LT history going into into it but I couldn't have been more wrong. They covered sooo much information that I wasn't even aware of. Especially the neverending saga of WB ownership

Bluebird bluebird!! Is a mystery novel that investigates a death, but also tackles racism in southern communities

I be forgetting there was a time when Johnny Test was once Cartoon Network's biggest thing and even the most hated thing. then the show just slowly disappeared from airwaves like poof

BTW, if you guys unfamiliar with #MoonGirlandDevilDinosaur felt empowered with that one ep, you are def gonna be hooked into the rest of the show as well. It's breathing with vibes, it's fully unapologetic about what it believes in, and it has Lunella. Big comfort show of mine from minute one.

I don't think I've been excited for an animated show like Jentry Chau vs. the Underworld in a while. I love the story, art direction and character designs so far I know we're fearful when it comes to Netflix and it's cancelations but I think this show has serious potential yallll

The black case diaries movie/tv podcast is pretty good too! They just go over the history and discuss about different shows and films. My favorite episode is the Looney tunes one

The town with Matt belloni is really good! It's more focused on the business side, but it's really insightful into what's currently being made in media, what's flopping, hitting and the future of the industry. Every episode usually has an interview with a journalist or an industry head
