Seems a DigitalOcean team member may be trying to rectify, but jfc. github.com/nodejs/build... May have to start a "Killed by DigitalOcean" All of this on top of funding $3million for Omarchy, killing CSS Tricks, laying off their docs team. 🙃
So
@DigitalOcean
out of nowhere discontinued their Open Source program, leaving only the current runaway of credits available to the projects.

We have less than 1 month left.

The
@nodejs
team is scrambling to migrate things.

Everyday I stray closer to Elixir + Phoenix, purely because of replies like this:
Jose Valim on Twitter saying:

You are right but it also feels short-sighted? You have the most powerful tool you ever had, you have become a 1000x maker, and you can't think of how to make your stack 10x better?

Yes, Rust is fast, the type system catches bugs, but there is so much beyond it.

* Why not make Ruby 10x faster?
* Why not make Ruby (and therefore Rails) really great at concurrency?
* Why not add a banging type system to Ruby that can provide guarantees beyond Rust?
* Why not embed SQLite3 into Rails with a replication protocol so you can really compress the stack beyond a single server?
* How to preemptively fix most bugs from the most critical parts of Rails, such as database pools?

Yes, who cares about ActiveSearch, but there are so many ways we can fundamentally improve our stacks that go beyond asking the agent to just crap out code. Phoenix is still the only framework that ships with presence, because it turns out it is deceptively a hard problem to solve correctly, but somehow all issues are solved?

I understand some folks have no interest in doing any of the above, and that's fine, but then at least pass the baton to the people who want to do exactly that.

PS: I say all of this with love ❤️

Will this be coming with allowing media bigger than 10mb by chance 😅 In fact, creating an issue and adding an attachment >10mb doesn't even tell you why it failed...which is not a fun time.

Oh. Wow. Shocked. Jason led the charge. > Huge shout out to jmeller for leading 1Password's participation! I somehow keep ending up building foundations that are a perfect fit for Jason and his company (hello Rails Foundation)! It's incredible to have his and their support once again.

Omacom Foundation is now open for corporate patronage too! Kicking off our Distinguished Corporate Patrons with @1Password
 and @37signals
each committing to $100,000/year over three years. So now the total pot is up to $12.6m! 💰

It's also just amazing to be able to partner with companies like @1Password
where I was already a super fan for years and years in advance! Omarchy is proudly supportive of commercial services and all other forms of capitalism. Open source doesn't need to be a commune! 😂

Not that hard to see @dhh
will probably end up building the best operating system to run AI harnesses & build stuff.

Windows & Apple trend more towards treating users as children. Omarchy trends towards treating users as adults.

If I were tasked with designing it, I would skip the useless install page, and just have the homepage look like this: It lets you visually deprioritize the more advanced install, and skips making people read what is essentially a "danger, keep out, use at your own risk."
Codepen of how i would redesign the grapheneOS home page.

https://codepen.io/editor/paramagicdev/pen/019fe90a-1764-70e1-a417-c5e0fc4af7b1

it features 2 buttons underneath text that read "WebUSB Install (recommended) and "Command line install (Advanced Users)" and users a blue button for WebUSB, and a clear button for Command Line install to reduce its prevalance.

Konnor Rogers @konnorrogers.com · 10/08/2026
Call to actions is how I would design it. I'm not a designer, but I would have 2 links styled as buttons. 1. Install via Web Flash (Recommended) 2. Install via Command Line (Advanced Users) This install page is also superfluous imo and should direct link from the home page to install.

Instead of writing docs, decided to make a new doc site generator with 11ty. Feels pretty good so far. These are all full page navigations using driveshaft + view transitions CSS + Web Awesome + 11ty (Build Awesome) (Don't think I'll leave the swipe motion in) guess I should write the docs now...

@matz.bsky.social Do you still believe DHH being known for discriminatory remarks is still highly questionable given recent posts by DHH?
It’s pretty malicious content, like calling it a “takeover” (RubyCentral has been managing Bundler and RubyGems for many years) or “DHH known for discriminatory remarks” (DHH is known for his strong words, but it’s highly questionable whether he’s made statements that are discriminatory without any premises).「乗っ取り」(RubyCentralは何年も前からBundlerとRubyGemsを管理していた)とか「差別的発言で知られるDHH」(DHHは言葉が強いことで知られるが、前提無しで差別的と言われるほどの発言しているかはかなり疑問)とか、かなり悪意のある内容ですね。

@github.com Repositories are broken when navigating branches / tag with an "@" char in them. github.com/withastro/as... This is `astro@7.1.0` it breaks when you click files (im assuming its trying to do client side routing and not realizing the "@" is URL encoded), but works on hard refresh.

fwiw, here's a diff between the 11ty error and what the extended parser returns for a missing closing bracket. it reports line 27 / column 8 which is exactly a blank line, but the extend parser correctly points to the right line / column (obviously different parsing errors produce different results
