Two unfortunate observations about a lot of US political media: 1) They don't value truth, and distort info in favor of politicians who call them biased, even when the charge is false. 2) They won't stop inviting people who denounce them, even lie to them

1. More Democrats should get more combative with the media, in particular by calling out questions that have an unspoken premise of "GOP voters are realer Americans than you," or in this case, "the president can break the law if voters in a city choose a mayor according to their own preferences."
