No no, every month a book is selected for everyone to read and discuss. But if you are busy and can’t read it or you don’t finish it that’s fine. We rotate who gets to pick the book that month, and they get to lead any discussion. Over time you find out who likes or loathes different genres

It’s fun. Everyone brings a snacky food and we eat and chat. If you don’t get a chance to read the book you can still attend just to hang out. It’s a good way to get exposure to new books you’d never read and you learn people’s reading tastes. Even crappy books are worth a laugh

I love hearing the pups practice in the spring/summer. If they hear a police or fire truck siren they all start up

Those old Scientists and Subspace rhapsody only work if they have the scaffolding of a solid show and characters behind them. I think paramount forgot this in their desperation to make people like them

The best way to create and maintain a friend group is quite simply to schedule stuff. I started a book club and a breakfast group which meets monthly. We meet at the same time of the month every month. Once an activity is consistently scheduled it makes it easier to plan around.

Ughhh I feel like I'm going to have an aneurysm when I see this.... AND people using caustic chemicals without a respirator. These things don't poison you instantly - it accumulates slowly. You're killing yourself by a thousand cuts of mirco-dosed poison.

Two of my works were used by this guy for his creepy ai images. I was able to file copyright and have them removed. Anyone else who sees thier work should do the same. DA has already warned them with my cases, additional copyright claims will go far in having the gallery shut down entirely.

I’ve loathed using my cricut joy since they forced everyone to use the same app instead of model specific ones. It made everything worse. I use it as a box to set my iPad on more than I ever used it to cut stuff

Nothing like an appointment with a physiotherapist to discover you have been sitting, standing and walking wrong your whole adult life.

I think I need a good strength training, muscle type work out. I dance lots, so my cardio is good, but I'm getting into the dreaded perimenopause part of life and my muscles are getting weaker. Anyone have any suggestions for good routines or video workouts I can do for weight training?

I don’t think an acceptable turnaround time can/must be in accordance to a defined range, it’s more important speculated wait/completion time is accurate. If they say 6 mon, wait should be 6 mon, if they say a year it should be a year. If a 6 mon promised completion turn into a year, it’s a problem

I've been thinking since I stepped down from FWA leadership about how much furry conventions have grown, and how much we now ask of the volunteers who keep them running. I decided to put those thoughts into words, and I'd appreciate it if you'd give them a read: gomi.gay/blog/26-09-0...

As Furry Conventions Grow, Our Expectations Need to Change

Furry conventions depend on volunteers giving extraordinary amounts of their time. As our events grow, we need to ask when that generosity becomes something our conventions depend on.
