like GtkBuilder which takes in descriptions of user interfaces in the form of XML files? i mean it does leave a lot to be desired when compared to html
<interface>
  <object class="GtkDialog" id="dialog1">
    <child internal-child="content_area">
      <object class="GtkBox">
        <child internal-child="action_area">

Overview

River is a non-monolithic Wayland compositor. Unlike other Wayland compositors, river does not combine the compositor and window manager into one program. Instead, users can choose any window manager implementing the river-window-management-v1 protocol.

you have integrity i think
Integrity and Justice have many things in common: both have a strong moral compass, both are hard to sway, and both concern themselves with building a framework of rules.

The main difference is who these rules are pointed at: Integrity will use them for itself with little concern for others, while Justice holds everyone to those same standards.'

oh my god i NEED this book. i NEED this book so bad
To Mock a Mockingbird and Other Logic Puzzles: Including an Amazing Adventure in Combinatory Logic (1985, ISBN 0-19-280142-2) is a book by the mathematician and logician Raymond Smullyan. It contains many nontrivial recreational puzzles of the sort for which Smullyan is well known. It is also a gentle and humorous introduction to combinatory logic and the associated metamathematics, built on an elaborate ornithological metaphor.

i wrote a sizeable chunk of text but i guess it can't detect my pakistani roots. (in it's response it also stated that they were weak signals pointing to Indian English which i guess is pretty close all things considered)
My actual guess: native English speaker, writing casually/unedited, not a non-native writer. Confidence: low — this kind of judgment from a short excerpt is closer to a coin flip than a reliable inference.

i was confused on whether or not to increment current before or after accessing the character (it was after i thought it was before)
; what i thought the code was
(defun advance (scanner)
  (with-slots (current source) scanner
    (incf current)
    (elt source current)))
; what it actually was
(defun advance (scanner)
  (with-slots (current source) scanner
    (incf current)
    (elt source (1- current))))

i found the bug, and honestly i blame nystrom for this because this is the most ambiguous way of writing this function what the hell
  private char advance() {
    return source.charAt(current++);
  }

! new piece of context
"Two days after the conference, Andrew Kelley opened an issue on the Zig repo to add support for a Fil-C inspired compilation mode. Andrew was right there in the audience during Fil's (incredible) talk on Fil-C. It's easy to think abstractly that organizing a conference will "promote innovation" or something, but wow; to think that SSW might play a tiny role in such an epic feature being added to a major programming language?!"
