Quick weekend work for a friend's side project. Friends don't let friends ship poor design.

I'll be honest: If you're not using Skills with Claude Code, you're not doing it right. Here are the top skills I use daily to run my $30k/mo agency. Bookmark this ⬇️🧵

TIL about corner-shape: a new CSS rule that allows you to create squircles and scooped corners for buttons and cards alike 🔥 Can't wait for Tailwind support once it's baseline available.

Since starting Kojo Design in 2023, I've single-handedly designed, coded, and launched 18+ multi-page marketing websites. Here's what I learned (plus a bonus freebie at the end!) 🧵

There's literally nothing that brings me more joy than seeing these "viral" X designs get absolutely CRUSHED on the Figma subreddit

Haven't seen anyone else talking about this, but the fact that @figma uses AI to autocomplete your text layers now is such a nice little addition ☺️

Tyler Nickerson @kojo.design · 10/06/2025

What if browsers used AI to kill clickbait once and for all?

000

Tyler Nickerson @kojo.design · 09/06/2025

You hear plenty of talk about the creative process behind branding and logos. What I wanted to know is the process behind creating mascots. Where do you even begin with something like that? How do you even get the creativity?

Criminally underrated fonts from Google Fonts I still can't believe are free:

Been super obsessed with @ingapng's work lately, so I attempted to recreate her infamous "Raycast Tiles" in Figma. How'd I do? Worth a tut?

AI is far from perfect (right now), but it still blows me away that I can spend $0.72 to generate something in 30 secs I'd otherwise pay a junior dev thousands for. Now all that's left is to polish and refactor ✨

How the HELL did I not realize Namecheap has a business domain generator?? 1. Plug in some keywords 2. Specify your desired TLDs 3. Get a list of available domain names for your project?? This is such a cheat code after hours of hunting for domains 😭😭

Tyler Nickerson @kojo.design · 01/04/2025

Alright, I admit it: AI has changed how I run my business. Instead of hiring a junior dev to develop client websites, I've been using AI to carry 80% of the work, then I hop in to add the final polish. The result? 7+ fully-coded web pages for my clients in 3 months.

Hi folks! Been taking a break from my socials due to ~𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑜𝑛𝑠~ (gestures broadly at the world), but going to try to start trying to post more. Q1 has been absolutely CRAZY for Kojo. Excited to share more stuff with you guys soon 👀

"Hey do you think you could design a logo for us?"

010

Tyler Nickerson @kojo.design · 21/01/2025

But Tyler – isn't that just changing the tracking? Actually, no. It also modifies the letters for optimal reading at larger and smaller font sizes. Cool, right?

000

Tyler Nickerson @kojo.design · 21/01/2025

I feel lied to. TIL that instead of setting a tracking of -3% on your headings, you can just change the optical size (opsz) of Inter and it will automatically adapt the font for headings and hero sections 🤯
