Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 27/03/2025I don’t care what anyone says, every game matters in baseball. That one game will matter at the end of the season. Win the games you’re supposed to. Thats starts today with Skenes on the mound against the worst team in baseball. 030
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 27/03/2025Pittsburgh Pirates Starting Lineup today: 1. Pham, LF 2. Reynolds, RF 3. Cruz, CF 4. Bart, C 5. Cutch, DH 6. Gonzales, 2B 7. Rodriguez, 1B 8. Hayes, 3B 9. IKF, SS 031
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 27/03/2025Hope everyone enjoys Opening Day. Need a Paul Skenes Masterclass today because we know the offense will likely not show up 020
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 16/03/2025I’m definitely over Spring Training games. Get me to Opening Day already. I’m ready to suffer. 010
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 09/03/2025The amount of playing time Endy Rodriguez is getting is leading me to believe he is going to make the team out of Spring Training over Henry Davis. They can play him at 1B, C, 2B, OF, and DH. They will find him at bats 030
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 09/03/2025I don’t want to be too negative but I really don’t care how “well” someone is playing this Spring Training. We should have went out and got a viable MLB hitter this offseason. I’m happy some guys are playing well but we know that means absolutely nothing. 030
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 02/03/2025Nothing better than Sunday afternoons watching baseball on a relaxing day to end the week. 010
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 21/02/2025Ok I am a big fan of the Andrew Heaney signing. But does that mean someone might be hurt? Or does that mean someone might be getting traded? Time will tell. 120
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 17/02/2025Is this best rotation the Pittsburgh Pirates have had in the past 20 years? 1. Paul Skenes 2. Jared Jones 3. Mitch Keller 4. Johan Oviedo 5. Bubba Chandler Another question is why have one of the worst offensive lineups when you know you can win almost everyday with these SPs? 120
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 23/12/2024There is absolutely no way Ben Cherington couldn’t have traded for Nathaniel Lowe or Josh Naylor. He has been so inept this offseason. I like Spencer Horwitz but man this has been brutal so far. 050
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 19/12/2024SOURCE: The Pittsburgh Pirates and Andrew McCutchen have agreed to a 1-year deal $5 million pending physical. 1110
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 17/12/2024The Pittsburgh Pirates' transaction page has them releasing Trey Cabbage. 120
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 16/12/20243 Outfielders that should be on the Pirates radar in order via trade: 1) Luis Robert Jr. 2) Heston Kjerstad 3) Jake McCarthy One of these guys, Ben. It’s literally that easy. Go do it. Stop being conservative. 020
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 13/12/2024You don’t need an insane lineup if your starting rotation looks like this in 2025: 1. Paul Skenes 2. Roki Sasaki 3. Jared Jones 4. Mitch Keller 5. Bubba Chandler Easily the best rotation in the division. Ben Cherington and company needs make the best pitch of all time for him 310
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 11/12/2024I need more Pittsburgh Pirates rumors tonight. Let’s keep improving this team. 140
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 10/12/2024The MLB Draft lottery is tonight. The Pittsburgh Pirates have a 5.31% chance to get the #1 pick in next year’s draft. If they can get in the Top 5 I would be happy with that. Ethan Holiday is the kid you on want in this draft. Would be nice to get him. 030
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 10/12/2024Konnor Griffin has added strength and moved his weight up to 225 this off-season according to his father. Excited to see how he does next season. 030
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 10/12/2024The Astros apparently are listening to trade offers on Kyle Tucker. He will be a UFA after the 2026 season. This is who you trade good pitching prospects and or Luis Ortiz + a top prospect for. He would fix a lot of issues this team has. 040
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 09/12/2024Not sure how accurate that report is but I really do not want Anthony Rizzo as our starting first basemen next season. Aim higher for once, Pirates 130
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 06/12/20243 things to look out for next week for the Pittsburgh Pirates at the Winter Meetings: 1) Do they make a trade for a bat(s)? 2) Where will they land in the Draft? (5.31% of getting 1st pick) 3) Do they sign any “relevant” FA(s)? At least some interesting things to come.. 030
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 05/12/2024If the Pirates move Bryan Reynolds to 1B fine, but it can’t be “part time”. Make it permanent and have him work on that position all offseason or don’t do it at all. If it’s full time then go out and sign a guy like Tyler O’Neill. Quit being indecisive about everything. 030
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 05/12/2024The Sacramento Athletics are spending more money so far in Free Agency than the Pittsburgh Pirates. Absolutely shameful 010
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 04/12/2024There are at least 8+ teams that are still looking for catching this offseason. With a limited market available for that position and with the Pirates already having 3 viable options (Bart, Endy, Davis) They should trade Jason Delay. He is a good defensive catcher that can hit. 020
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 03/12/2024I’m fine with not bringing Aroldis Chapman back. Too much of a roller coaster ride all season and rather see that $10 million go elsewhere. 020
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 02/12/2024MLB wrote an article today about 1 trade candidate for each team this offseason. They listed Bailey Falter for the Pirates. He will be Arb-eligible for the next 4 seasons that will attract a lot of teams looking for He is worth $12-18 million in free agency. He would bring in a very good return. 020
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 02/12/2024The SP market is crazy with how much these guys are going to cost teams. Montas getting 17 mil a year basically just set the market price. He had a 4.84 era last year. The Pirates have so many SP and could definitely get some good pieces with trades BC needs to be smart and make good trades. 030
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 01/12/2024The Steelers can win these games because of Russell Wilson. He still has it. He has been great thus far. Got to start strong this second half because Joe Burrow will always be dangerous 020
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 01/12/2024Why in the world would the Cubs hire Andy Haines to help out their minor league players for hitting? Did they not see what he did to our team?? 040
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 29/11/2024You know its bad when all the big teams and their fan bases are waiting to see if they sign Juan Soto and I’m over here waiting to see if the Pirates pick up a few interesting guys that were just non-tendered. Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving Pirates fans! 190
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 27/11/2024MLB is going to destroy itself and it’s sad to see. If you think having only 4 teams competing every year is good for the game, you’ll see your ratings be worse than MLS. 2027 CBA needs to come asap 140
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 26/11/2024Roki Sasaki and Paul Skenes in the same rotation would be something else 020
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 26/11/2024Are there Pittsburgh Pirates fans on this app? 14190
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 25/11/2024Mark Feinsand from MLB listed RHP Jose Leclerc as a free agent the Pittsburgh Pirates should go after this offseason. He mentioned Pittsburgh would be in the market for a late-inning reliever. Leclerc was 6-5 with a 4.32 ERA last season in 66.2IP Would you like this signing? 110
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 23/11/2024The Pirates announced they have acquired RHP Peter Strzelecki from the Guardians for cash considerations. Last season with the Cleveland: 10G: 11.2IP 11H 3ER (2.31 ERA) 010
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 23/11/2024Looks like Bryan De La Cruz and Connor Joe have been non-tendered per @AlexJStumpf They will be looking to add to the OF this offseason after all. Hopefully by some good trades 010
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 22/11/2024Will the Pirates non-tender Bryan De La Cruz and Connor Joe today? If they do tender them, that’s a bad sign for adding to this team next season at the outfield position. The deadline is today. Should be an interesting day. 020
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 22/11/2024I’m still at a loss for words on the coaching decisions this game: - Didn’t use timeout in the first half - Went for a 40 pass with Fields - Accepted a penalty that gave the opposing team two chances. - Calling a timeout before the 3rd down play after the penalty. Incredible 030
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 21/11/2024Termarr Johnson went 2-4 last night against Japan and was the only player on Team USA to have a multi-hit game. Through 6 games in the WBSC, the Pirates #3 prospect is slashing .412/.588/.524 with a home run. 010
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 20/11/2024I know Paul Skenes didn’t win CY Young tonight, but man what a season he had. -All MLB Team -NL ROY Award -CY Young Award Finalist Future is bright for this kid. Hopefully it’s not wasted in Pittsburgh and they start winning because that would be a shame. 030
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 20/11/2024Paul Skenes deserves the CY Young Award tonight. I say this objectively 020
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 19/11/2024Paul Skenes - Ace Jared Jones- Potential Ace Mitch Keller- Very Good Luis Ortiz- Good Bubba Chandler- Sky is the Limit On top of that, they have Thomas Harrington, Braxton Ashcraft, with Bailey Falter as a safety valve. Pirates Front office has one job this offseason. Build this LINEUP! 130
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 18/11/2024There are no excuses for 2025. It’s must win for the Pittsburgh Pirates or clean house. You have one of the best rotations in baseball when it comes to talent and cost. If you can’t build around that and make the playoffs, then you need to let someone else figure it out. 070
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 18/11/2024Paul Skenes ended up with 23 first place votes, 7 second place votes, and 0 third place votes. Wasn’t a close competition. 131
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 18/11/2024Paul Skenes has been named the 2024 NL Jackie Robinson Rookie of the Year. Congrats to him. Well earned. 050
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 18/11/2024Alright, time for Ben Cherington to wake up this week. A trade, signing, anything at this point to show you care about improving the 2025 Pittsburgh Pirates. Its early I know, but this front office has no time to waste. 220
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 17/11/2024This was a statement game for the Pittsburgh Steelers. They can beat anyone in this league. They can get into the mud if they have to. They can go toe for toe with a high powered offense if need be too. This team could be the real deal. 8-2! 040
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 17/11/2024Why is Van Jefferson getting more playing time than Mike Williams? He can’t catch and can’t get open at all this game. 010
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 17/11/2024I don’t think I’ve been this excited for a Steelers game in a long time. At least since the Big Ben era. Tomorrow is massive for the city of Pittsburgh. Can’t wait. 030
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 15/11/2024Termarr Johnson with an absolute moon shot for Team USA vs. Mexico 👀 030
Kody Duncan @kodyduncanpgh.bsky.social · 14/11/2024I truly believe Konnor Griffin will be the best hitting prospect the Pittsburgh Pirates have had in their system since Andrew McCutchen. He has all the tools to be a great player for this team in the future. So glad he fell to #9. I think teams will regret not drafting him. 040
