ok, the sleeping fox when you turn enhanced tracking protection off is adorable

Screenshot from Firefox on Android, in the sheet of the current site's details, cropped to the section about the Enhanced Tracking Protection, which is turned on.
First card has a gradient from purple to orange, with the new design of the Firefox mascot on the right, visible from head up down its neck. It appears it's looking to the text on the left.
Second card is a clickable toggle, with "(On)" shown on the right. Title and "(On)" are coloured in shades of purple.

Firefox is on guard
You're protected.

Enhanced Tracking Protection
If something looks broken on this site, try turning it off.

Oooh. Desktop Plus, a fork of the GitHub Desktop client, just added support for self-hosted GitLab and Forgejo instances in its latest alpha. And yep, it works just fine and can even pull the status of the CI! Considering GH Desktop is recommended to and used by […] [Original post on wubba.boo]

Screenshot of Desktop Plus running on Windows. My repository "vt" on the "feat/tvmode" branch, showing a diff of a file in the background. I have opened the CI status popover, by clicking on the badge that shows the PR number and a checkmark.

I somehow got stuck in hololive Dreams... I tried to teleport from the house to the stage, but "I" (not my character?) got stuck under the floor in front of the big wheel. But as recorded, I guess the camera function can fix this.

Triangle: Bah ouais grave
Cercle: Ah bah merci ça fait plaisir
Croix: Ah c'est marrant
Carré: Sérieux ? Trop bien

Interesting bug on Android 17 QPR Beta with my Pixel 9 Pro Fold. I have to open it because the lock screen and notifications tray (and also notification pop-ups) are stuck at the wrong screen resolution. Other apps (including the keyboard and multitasking switcher) are adjusting correctly though.

"Zen, Zed, and Zits" www.matuzo.at/blog/2026/zen-zed-zits This is precisely why I leave those two far apart.

Screenshot of my macOS Dock, made bigger for the screenshot, showing the Zen icon near the left and the Zed icon more on the right. There's then a large red arrow separating those two. There are 9 apps between them.

Welp, I never got around to play it. So I ordered the physical version at the cheapest option (thanks World of Games Switzerland, that was fast) and bought the Switch 2 upgrade on the eShop.

A Nintendo Switch game box, still plastic wrapped, of Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition.

Amazing, I can just play my favourite Zelda (even though I played the Wii version) directly on macOS (on ARM) and with some quality of life features. Oh and with my usual controller. twilitrealm.dev

Zelda: Twilight Princess (GameCube version) running on macOS with the "Dusk" project. I'm holding my Gamesir controller in front of the screen. My second screens shows that I'm using a Mac mini (2024) with an Apple M4 chip, 32 GB of RAM.

Good job, GitHub, for not including a report option for everyone directly in places like discussions. According to the docs, there's one, but only for "owners, collaborators, prior contributors, and people with write access [...]". 🖕

A phishing attempt in a random repo's discussions. Title: "Visual Studio Code - High-Risk Security Issue - Priority Action Alert"

The menu of the post is open, showing that there are no report option.

There's a link down there that I'm not clicking.

For some reason my "external" SSD is now showing up with the Adobe CC icon in the Finder sidebar (first pic). I tried to replace it by setting a new ICNS for the drive/root dir, but it didn't fix it. At least it does show up on the dock, so now I have a cute Miku […] [Original post on wubba.boo]

yay more gacha now pre-downloading Neverness to Everness' (NTE) coming closed beta

A panoramic, high-angle view of a futuristic, sunlit coastal city from NTE's loading screen. In the foreground, a girl with long, bright red hair, cat ears, and with a black tail, dressed in a black coat, "stands" to the side of a glass skyscraper overlooking the metropolis. The city below is a dense mix of modern buildings, lush green parks, and blue waterways. A large suspension bridge and a distant needle-shaped tower can be seen in the distance, with on the right a black tower with a red mist escaping the top. A loading bar at the bottom indicates 20% completion, downloading 12799MB of data.

oh I couldn't buy something on Steam using PayPal yesterday. Just saw on bsky someone else talking about it so I guess that's very recent

PayPal use on Steam is currently unavailable in my currency. Why?

In early July 2025, PayPal notified Valve that their acquiring bank for payment transactions in certain currencies was immediately terminating the processing of any transactions related to Steam. This affects Steam purchases using PayPal in currencies other than EUR, CAD, GBP, JPY, AUD and USD.

We hope to offer PayPal as an option for these currencies in the future but the timeline is uncertain. We are also evaluating adding additional payment methods on Steam for the customers affected by this.

In the meantime, please use one of our other current payment methods during checkout. If you can't use any of the available options, you can consider using a Steam Wallet code to add funds to your account.

I hate that YouTube channels don't use proper titles because I can't tell what it's about from my RSS. But occasionally, it makes funny things like this. (SunnySplosion short, then Kurzgesagt)

Two RSS feed entries from YouTube.
- "Recite the Bible in Japanese..."
- "...Can Ruin Your Life Forever."
