It is actually significantly faster to *not* use variables for raw compute time, that's the entire point of CSS compilers/frameworks. I went ahead and pulled down their actual code, and they use your example (rgb(0, 106, 255)) a single time. Inspect element tells you nothing about the actual code

Profiler made! There's not a lot of data here because this is profiling a literally blank game. The only reason why nanoseconds are high is profiler overhead isn't being accounted for (yet). I haven't seen a profiler interactive like a tree structure, and I really love it!

For anyone playing Schedule 1, made a really handy spreadsheet that can automatically track and create complete recipes and calculate total profit :3 Someone 100% already made a table like this which is complete, am sure of it, but I'd rather discover it on my own like this ^^
