tbf I REALLY liked tumblr and learned a lot about myself and others on tumblr and it made me a better person, but every social media site as The Abyssal Zone, where light should never penetrate and if any of your posts reach it, it'll be crushed like a bunch of millionaires in a carbon fiber can.

having a sensible chuckle at an outward (the crpg) review that approached the game thinking it had to have every enemy be learned like souls but actually you have to play very carefully to not get totally beaned because its partially a survival game like kenshi and thus they hated it

i feel it also works in mmos because rather than deduct your gold most of the time, a decent amount of old ones deducted your exp gain before reaching the next level (but not the one you've already invested) and it made a good risk/reward element to faster levelling through fighting stronger mobs

like this respawn rule only really works in games where respawn points are far and few between, which dq at least tries to be good about with its churches and castles. it's why it worked in dq1

i should add im finding it really easy since, you have dq rules wrt respawning where you get your gold cut in half and retain all exp, but in most modern rpgs i've always found that numbs down any sort of challenge most of the time, so unless later bosses become annoyingly bullshit and spammy...

the focus was VERY MUCH on the pvp but idk. maybe im seeing this wrong but. since it flattened your level on pvp just making you have to rely on your build and skills, then i wonder why they didnt just make it an online platform fighter with some minigames and subsystems that gave you exp
