Thanks for that! I wish doctors during the 60s had been given a clue. I wasn't diagnosed till I retired, emotionally battered and not knowing why I was "different". At one point, my psychologist, frustrated, asked why I insisted that I was "different". My response: "because everyone says I am!"

There are no winners here. "Sorry" doesn't cut it. "I didn't vote for this" doesn't cut it. Just know that there are MANY people in the US horrified at what the regime has done and we will set things right just as soon as possible. In the mean time, make the pain as high as possible (sigh)

THANK YOU for this thought-provoking thread. One practical issue is that when shelter is provided, it isn't close to employment possibilities; it's out on the periphery. Unless the town has good public transit, getting to work or service becomes yet another burden.

USAID is targeted to populations outside the US. Aid goes to people when there is a risk of insufficient food or a disease outbreak. Lower key: helps people be more self-sufficient by helping with access to water and farming assistance. That is - USED to be.
