Some quick fox studies! I’ve come to the realization that this animal is really just a long fluffy sock with legs #art

Three graphite sketched of foxes, looking up at something, sitting, and prancing respectively.

I’m holding it back—but it is definitely a marketing nightmare! It’s hard to convince someone a story is worth their time with the pitch line “wait and see”. But I want to let readers experience the story’s development organically, instead of just anticipating a reveal that’s meant to flip the tone.

The Mask of the King is a political/romantic drama following a farm girl who is among a cohort of commoner women chosen as candidates to be the bride of the ruling monarch, a mysterious man who never removes his mask. You can read it here: www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/th...

I like the way slower reveals allow the story to develop organically—but it sure is hard to promote a series effectively when one of the major plot points is a twist!

Weird. My best guess is that it’s a result of the canvas not holding on to the pigment well, watercolors are made to work best on paper. Did you prime it with something for watercolor?

@persimmobun.bsky.social GET GOT!! Second attack of the year! I adore this creature immensely. #artfight2026 #watercolor #ocsky #art #bunny

A watercolor of a bunny-adjacent beast with persimmon inspired design, including orange fur, persimmon leaves sprouting from his head and a persimmon tree branch for a tail. He is curled up on a pile of leaves protecting what appear to be sentient persimmons huddled beneath him.

First #artfight attack complete! This is BreadheadRedemption's character Layla... a very lovely design. Their battle ratio is looking a little worrisome so if you want to help balance the scales take a crack at them at artfight.net/~BreadheadRe... #artfight2026 #gouache #watercolor #art

A humanoid alien or mutant with colorful blue and pink skin, yellow irises with black sclera, a tail, and long curving horns. She is sitting on a patch of grass and flowers, and contemplating a fluffy yellow flower she is holding in one hand. She has one earphone in, and an audio player tucked into her waistband.

Three ink drawings of an American bittern. First with its neck tucked in, then with its neck extended a realistic amount, and last with its neck extended into a surreal loopy knot.

Chestnut-backed Chickadee - Part 1 I'm working on a series of illustrations - gryphons of the Pacific Northwest! I plan to make a few of them and potentially sell these as prints. #illustration #birds #chickadee #nature #gryphons

A circular illustration of a gryphon in a Pacific Northwest forest. The gryphon is climbing up a dead pine branch and resembles a chestnut-backed chickadee. The hind limbs resemble those of a cat's.

Tragically, my guy was apparently the only street artist in Florence who wasn’t out today. This was supposed to be my last venture to Florence, but I’m so committed to giving this stranger a pigeon portrait I’m seriously considering returning next weekend.

Knowva @knowva-comics.bsky.social · 26/06/2026

Last week in Florence I met a street artist who painted me a sketch of a pigeon in about 20 seconds, leaving me delighted for the whole day… so on the train today I drew these two in colored pencil in hopes of returning the favor of spontaneous pigeon art. I’ll update if I find him. #addBirder #art

Quick watercolor sketch of a pigeon, bestowed on me by a friendly street artist.

A colored pencil drawing of two pigeons. The one in the foreground is pecking at some crumbs on the ground.

Could it be partly a purity culture thing? Like if you say a “fucked up” thing in a horror fandom, that’s perceived as par for the course, but any take slightly on the upper end of luke-warm freaks out a fandom based around a “wholesome” concept?

Hi! Thanks for the artshare <3. I'm knowva, a multimedia artist and comic creator just getting started online. Here are some characters from The Mask of the King, the story that's currently fighting its way out of my head and onto the page.

Knowva @knowva-comics.bsky.social · 23/06/2026

I like to use a really rough pen brush to try to hold on to the feel a bit... But it's a shadow of the original effect

000

Knowva @knowva-comics.bsky.social · 22/06/2026

Theres somethin about a messy sketch... It's the most expressive form of the panel me. I always lose a little of that energy when I translate it into linework.

110

Knowva @knowva-comics.bsky.social · 22/06/2026

I also struggled with this when I started drawing on a tablet. I think there is just so much "noise" inherent in traditional art that mistakes come across more visibly in digital... and it's really hard to anchor your proportions and composition on a screen! Maybe experiment with textured brushes?

A couple years ago I got discouraged and quit working on the Mask of the King, but luckily I am obsessed with these made up people in my head and so they are making a return entrance. #comics #webtoon #graphicnovels #tmotk #ocsky

Cropped panel from an indie webcomic showing one girl leaning over the shoulder of another to look at a book she is reading. Her speech bubbles have been edited to say, "OOooo what Project is that? Another one that you abandoned 3 years ago?"
