Chronic health issues + some extra health issues in the past few months + disability benefits worries + the general dystopian crap going on in the UK and the rest of the world. Rest is rebellion right?! I need a break and to focus on self care, kindness and compassion.

We all start somewhere! My first project was an amigurumi ghost - it was full of holes 😂 I still have it somewhere. Scarves and basic amigurumi were my staples for a bit as to me they're the simplest things to do.

Are you using the tags in your posts? Most people follow custom feeds based on tags on here. So for crochet it's usually #crochet #crochetsky and 🧶 that are picked up in the feeds.

I promise I will post some finished #crochet soon! But in the meantime here's another #wip I started 😂 I'm remaking the Shark Tank top as I wasn't happy with it the first time - I'll be altering it to hopefully fit my body better 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 I just love this yarn and stitch combo so I have to try! 🧶

I get that it sucks. But 14 year old cries shouldn't be a headline!! I'm pretty sure I cried a lot at that age and it never got in the papers 😂 Yes hopefully a life lesson - not the one the paper seems to put across (that it's mean not to give freebies to people if they cry)

People on socials can be really judgemental. I feel we should all remember that you never know what's going on in someone's life and to be kind. Not all of us are able - or even want to - be vocal on social media. It's not the only way to fight. And honestly I don't have the energy for it.

Wtf? The man having the epileptic fit was just an inconvenience to the girl who didn't get a free burger because she didn't pay attention to the fact she needed a leaflet. Well boohoo. I'm pretty sure the guy who had a fit had a worse time of it (and presumably also didn't get a burger?)

Exhausted. But not as much as yesterday when after 12 hours in bed I went back to sleep for 2 hours... Got up & had breakfast, crocheted a little and listened to a podcast and then went for a 2 hour nap... And had an early night!! Felt like someone gave me a sleeping potion!!! #mecfs #chronicillness

That makes sense. I don't know if you saw but @madstash.bsky.social has used knit patterns for Tunisian a few times. They might give some advice if it's still something you wanna do. Though I understand if you don't!

Sorry it's not working out for you! Sounds like you picked a complicated pattern to start with though. I was thinking I might try a pattern that's just knit stitch and then use any TC stitch I want with it. So all the info I need is where to increase our decrease.
