#showmeyourknits is Sock Week for #socktober Here are the socks I’m currently working on for October Sock Squad, for my 17yo. He loves fun socks and cats, so these have to go to him. The kitties are so cute! #knitsky
Two partially knitted top-down socks on sock blockers. Main color is a variegated orange. They have a stripe of black in the top of the cuff and then some black cats with blue eyes around the leg.

Something I’m proud of for #showmeyourknits - I finished this a couple months ago and can finally wear it now that it’s cooling down outside! Jupiter Crop by Caitlin Hunter. Took me awhile to figure out the color palette, but I’m glad I stuck with the dark teal 🫶🏻 #knitsky
Me wearing a handknit colorwork sweater. It is cropped and short sleeve. The main color is dark grey and has feathery patterns in cream, light teal, light grey, and dark teal.Close up of the sweater

I’m here, just not posting much because I’m still working on Antipodes. Finished the sleeves, just need to figure out how long to make the body. Also need to rip out the neckline bind off because I found a different bind off I liked better for the sleeves. #knitsky
Me wearing a mostly finished top-down handknit sweater. The main color is a dark teal. It has striping in the shoulders and upper sleeves and a fun colorwork pattern in the body using a color shifting yarn of oranges, pinks, browns, and blues. Need to knit a little more of the body because it’s a little too cropped still.

August sock squad! I made the Seeds of Summer socks and paired my August yarn with a variegated mini I already owned but coordinated so well. #knitsky #sockssquad2026
Handknit socks on feet. The main part of the sock is a tonal light tan color. The cuff is knit in a variegated tan and pale green yarn and is in a ribbed star stitch pattern.

August sock squad. I decided to pair August yarn with a fun speckled mini I already had for this fun extra-wide cuff. I think they will be perfect with lace-up boots. Pattern is Seeds of Summer socks. #knitsky
The beginning of a top-down sock. The cuff is knit in a star pattern with a speckled yarn of pale greens and tans. The leg of the sock is knit in a variegated tan colorway and has slip-stitch columns running down it.

This week’s Antipodes progress. I’ve actually completed the neckband and started a sleeve too. Will finish those before finishing the body. I was afraid there was too much brown, but I’m liking the shifting hues and think it works. #knitsky
A handknit sweater in progress. It is knit with a MC dark teal and a CC that is hue shifting with browns and oranges and blues. The saddle shoulder is striped. The body has a fun colorwork pattern with zigzags on one half and diamonds on the other. There are no sleeves or neckband yet knit, and the body is mostly knit but put in hold for now.

Antipodes update. Bed knitting with an audiobook on a very hot day. So much curling! There is a lot of blocking in my future, but I’m trying to get to joining in the round before blocking again. ♥️ 🧶 #knitsky
The start of a handknit sweater. It has a saddle construction which is knit in stripes with a teal yarn and a color changing yarn moving from brown to orange. Part of the back is knit and now the front is being knit until it can join with the back.

Just finished my July Sock Squad socks and realized they count for this week’s #showmeyourknits because I’ve knit this pattern before! Still need to finish May SS and do all of June to catch up but currently focused on Antipodes and August yarn is coming soon. 😬 #knitsky 🧶
July Sock Squad. Blue-green fairly vanilla socks with a contrast cuff. Pattern is Studland.Another version of Studland socks from 8 years ago. These are a pink speckled yarn transitioning to purples in the cuff. These socks are longer, like leg warmers, as the pattern is written.

#wipwednesday I started my Antipodes! Very interesting construction. Blocking before picking up stitches because it was curling so bad. #knitsky
A weird piece of knitting that will become the “saddle shoulders” of a knit sweater. Knit in stripes with MC dark teal and CC a color shifting yarn going from browns in the background through pink and into orange in the foreground.

My #showmeyourknits this week includes some of my favorite sock blockers, knitting bag, and my favorite needles - chiaogoo interchangeables. I’m working on my Sock Squad July socks, which I doubled up to make DK socks but am adding in a teal to make them longer. #knitsky
A sock in progress on one of a set of wood sock blockers with flower cut outs. The sock is mostly blue-green and knit from the toe up. There is also a bright pink project bag next to it with a white unicorn in the print.

#showmeyourknits is What’s on your needles? I’m still knitting this, but it’s currently off my needles for a try-on and to decide length. I’ve finally accepted the dark teal color, so that’s progress too 😉 Drops of Jupiter
A handknit colorwork sweater in progress, knit from the top down. Some more inches of the body and the sleeves are awaiting completion. The MC is a dark grey. CCs are cream, light teal, light grey, and dark teal.

Apparently MeMadeMay really burned me out on posting. I finally finished my 3 test knits and can work on projects that I can show again. Went back to Drops of Jupiter. Still thinking the dark teal is too dark, but I had decision paralysis so decided to keep knitting for now. #knitsky
Knitting sitting in a windowsill along with a blooming African violet. Out the window is a backyard and mountains in the distance. The knitting - a top-down colorwork yoke. It’s knit in a dark grey for the MC, and cream, light teal, light grey, and a dark teal for the CCs. The dark teal is showing up ok in this picture because of the harsh sunlight but is harder to differentiate from the grey in any other light.

#MeMadeMay Day 25 Mending. When you make your own clothes, a lot of time goes into it. Adding in the desire to be sustainable, if an item is damaged, I’ll do my best to fix it. Handknit socks have to be mended most, since they get the most wear, but I also have a brioche shawl with a hole. #knitsky

#MeMadeMay Day 22 I’m starting to run low, but I found this sweater, Dillon, in my TBF pile and all it needed was ends to be woven in and blocking. Mostly stockinette but with typical Elizabeth Doherty details that make it special. And super soft Shibui Echo yarn. #knitsky
