The Final Fantasy Resonance demo came out and I was mildly interested before, but now I'm excited. The game is all kinds of old-school magic mixed with new-school design ideas. Combat feels amazing. People are going to miss out on this one, I'm afraid.

PERSONAL TIME Waiting for USCIS to approve the papers for my partner's fiancée visa has been really stressful. It seems like every month I hear about delays or changes to the structure of the agency handling it. I submitted back in January, so it's only been about 7 months. Still, I'm just stressed.

Watching Josh Sawyer's videos about armor is making me think of how you would do armor in a ttrpg without making it super math heavy but still having it matter. I think you could increase accuracy past what lots of TTRPGs assume and include damage thresholds. Not sure how annoying that'd be though

Finished Pikmin 1 today and in spite of the jank I think it was a really fun game!

A result screen of the first Pikmin game. Numbers have a rounded, bubble-like design. The chart reads the following:
