Important component of the current discourse is that sometimes the localized name of a Japanese property is a shitty translation advertising the work as something it's not for market appeal. 'A Silent Voice' and 'Journal with Witch' are /terrible/ titles. The latter is barely english.

Like the brand of poppy swancorelike they make, millsage's story may cover what can be considered a well-worn trope, but the intricacy of its characterization and emotional sequencing provide such a compelling narrative It also is, at key moments, absolutely cruel in ways that made my stomach drop
