Lowkey feel this way about doom eternal with the fact that campaign and dlc are all balanced for the perma death + lives modes Master Levels in particular feels like one entire arcade game per master level, with level segments acting as stages and under an hour of playtimes

The thing with doom is that they're still made to be pistol started because quick saving both took up a lot of space and a lot of time to do at the time Unfortunately this just became an expected standard on pc and Serious Sam in general could've benefited with less bloat and checkpoint design

Which is funny cuz of hollow knight (via an endgame upgrade) gave your dash i-frames which is abusable They seemed to have taken note on the i-frame + damage boosting then massively toned it down (the evergreen 2 mask of damage) It's surprising cuz usually other devs would've double down on it

Yes but also it doesn't even have the best game, super Darius 2 for some reason Then there's dariusburst acex plus being the definitive edition of arcade without cs, then cs core that's entirely switch exclusive with only 2 of the dlc, and the PC version the only one actually capable of ultrawide
