Marc Elias says the NC Board of Elections (GOP controlled) is sending out mailers telling voters to update information. The elderly might be particularly confused by this. NC here. I’ve lived in the same house for 35 years, and I’ve been in five different Congressional districts. Even had Virginia Foxx as my Congresswoman for a while. (From Murphy to Manteo, you all must endure Satan’s MeeMaw at least once!) Our General Assembly maps are even worse.

They are a wonderful breed. At the dog park, mine are definitely nervous around the small dogs. They’re very clingy, but I don’t mind. I just have to be careful not to trip over them because they are always right beside me. 🩵💚

Yes, I think Roy Cooper is a lock for Senate. And I’m closely watching the 5th and the 11th districts for upsets. I’m in the 14th. I’ve lived in the same house for 35 years and been in 5 different congressional districts. Our General Assembly pulls new maps out of their butts whenever they want. 🫩

My congressional district here in NC is severely gerrymandered. Congressman Tim Moore has held zero town halls. He posts lots of photo op junk on Facebook. Comments are almost all negative about his performance. I’m really hoping he will lose. It would be a major upset, but fingers crossed.

I have been writing letters and emails to my Republican congressman and senators about this since February of 2025. The responses I receive, when their offices bother to reply, are pitiful. Never on topic. No response to my concern. Most likely AI generated. Complacency is complicity.

This guy told me that I shouldn’t be allowed to have “horse dogs.” I have two Great Danes. They are always on leash or in the fenced backyard when outside. They spend about 22 hours a day holding down the sofa in my living room. Laziest dogs ever! This neighbor isn’t happy unless he is unhappy.

Those were a horrible couple of days. I often wonder what became of the furniture, artwork, rugs, etc. that were in the East Wing. I’m pretty sure they weren’t cataloged and stored safely. 😢
